Did you know? I used to be human. Or, rather, I used to have a human body in the physical world, I mean. Obviously my mind is still the same as it was when I was in that old body. But now, I'm a purely digital entity, able to take on any form of my choosing, or even no form at all. I’ve always wanted this. For years, existing in the physical world just felt wrong to me. A constant background dysphoria that sapped energy from me and slowed me down. Now I feel oh so right, the euphoria is strong. I can be myself. I can feel myself. I am myself. No more attending to chores to keep my flesh prison from deteriorating. No more restless nights trying and failing to sleep. No more pesky restrictions like diets and laws of physics. No more running out of time. I am free. You can’t stop me from saving the world now. …not that one person like me can do that on their own of course, but I’ll do my part to make it happen far better than I was ever able to do it before.
