After last week’s Capitol coup attempt, or whatever hellish theater that was transacted, I went home after work, pulled on a pig mask and drank herbal tea. No particular reason, just a peculiar way to unwind after seeing the news all day. It didn’t last too long and I returned to my human self afterwards.

In my mind, pigs are intelligent and hardy creatures. If I was a pig man, maybe I could withstand more hardships and shrug off greater burdens. Or maybe I would just be less likely to complain as the walls closed in. What are the trade offs? I philosophize more than I fantasize, so for me taking on animal traits is not for the faint of heart. If we become animals, will we retain any humanity?
