Long distance relationships can be really harsh. They are already difficult, even when you can only meet every 6-12 months, when your schedules allow. Even more difficult when there is a global pandemic going on and travel between countries is completely shut down and even if it wasn't, it would be dangerous to move around too much. Now at 18 months apart and counting, this fox cannot help but miss seeing his beloved Dragoness, giving her the love and pampering she deserves, hear her voice, see her smiling face, the touch of her skin, the warmth of her hug. And of course all the other things they could do together. A collar and a dog tag, a constant reminder that he is taken, a token of his belonging and loyalty. Lovely to behold, warm to the touch, but cold in its reminder of the distance between the plate and the person whose name it bears. But nothing lasts forever, even the bad things! Salvation is just around the corner, and there is hope! Hope that they can see each other before too long!

I've been in a long distance relationship for around 5 years now. We've never even met irl yet and we're waiting for the day I can get her to fly down to me in Florida to see the Beaches with her own eyes
They can be hard, there may be times you doubt it's stability, there may be long moments of radio silence, but if you care about them you'll send them letters, packages, and small bits of hope that it will keep going on.
Conversation with my girlfriend isn't easy, she rarely speaks with her own voice due to her shyness and is very very reclusive. I've told her in the most sappy way I could that I would be her knight and shining armor and free her from her shell, and I've made good progress
So don't give up you hear me? Long distance takes Commitment, and you need to hold onto them if they're the one for you. Don't bail on them if they don't meet your likings either, it's the heart that counts

I have absolutely no intentions of giving up on her for sure, I just miss her dearly. I would not stop waiting for as long as there is a glimmer of hope, and there is much more than a glimmer here. As far as I am concerned it is only a matter of time, just wish that time would get its shit together and hurry up a tad. We have met on several occaaions in the past when our schedules allowed and the time where we may be able to even move in with each other is near. I just have not been apart for this long ever before. But soon!
