‘No, YOU Triggered the Trap!’
‘I did not, YOU did,… but it serves you right, for trying to steal these treasures!’
‘So, how come you ended up stuck in this trap too, huh, Guardian?’
‘.... Shush, thief!!’
“As bad as the Villains can be,… it’s the Thieves that can be truly troublesome,… and annoying.
They break into the ruins on the island,… disable traps meant to keep people out,… break open paths that are meant to be closed,… then try to steal things that don’t belong to them. ‘Tomb Raiders’,… hmph,… more like Grave Robbers,…
Not to mention, that is one of the ‘Lock Totems’ there,… or atleast that’s what I call them,… they are part of the ancient magics that keep the Dark Forces imprisoned,… so removing one is like taking the lock off the prison door.
But do Thieves think about that? No, of course not,… and why would they listen to me when I try to warn them? I mean, I’m Only the Island Guardian, what do I know?
And who do you think has to not only stop them, but go back and reset the traps, and reseal the paths, and fix all the damage they do?”
*Grumbles*
‘I hope you go under first,…’

Another amazing image from the remarkable
toughset a funny collab proposed by Psychowolvesbane featuring his character, Summer, and my Ember, in quite the sticky situation, much to both their dismay.
Inspired directly by a few images from the great Pete Boggs, this picture really came out great, quite funny, tense and beautiful. The situation here is just great, and their expressions really convey their feelings beautifully, especially with the ‘glare static’, plus that boob squish, while sunk chest deep in quicksand, is just lovely. The quicksand looks great, very thick and sandy, and that you can see more of it pouring in from the holes really enhances the feeling of peril and tension here. The detail that went into the background is really impressive, especially into the suspiciously familiar looking totem behind them, this picture really shows off an area of Nightshade Island not seen before and one of the totems Ember has only briefly mentioned previously. What I also like is that it brings to light an idea I’ve had for quite awhile in that, from the perspective of someone like Ember, a character like Lara Croft would essentially be seen as a ‘thief’ and a bad guy, which I think is an interesting take on it. ;). Another beautifully done picture, thank you very much Toughset. :)

Oh man, I really love this picture a lot! :D It looks so nice and has so many fun things to talk about! First off, the setting is great, right in the middle of one of the ancient temples, somewhere Ember doesn't tend to be in peril to often, though with a trap like this one, it's really cool to see! Such a fun idea to use this quicksand trap, and the sand coming out of the walls to fill the room really adds to the picture, making it very dramatic and thrilling, with things like the cracks on the walls showing how old the temple is. The Lock Totem looks great with a very nice design as a fun little reference, plus the stone it's set in looks pretty great!
Summer looks really great as well! The short orange hair looks nice, along with the grey explorers gear, and her expression defiantly shows that she's really mad about Ember stopping her from getting the idol she was after. Ember of course looks great as well! Her long hair laying on the ground, and tilting away to reveal a nice bit of her back. From her expression you can tell that she's feeling the same about Summer as she feels about Ember. Clearly very upset at all the work she's caused and the attempt to steal a important lock for the forces of darkness. The bit of lighting between the two helps show just how much they hate each other, and you gotta love their breasts also pushing against each other, Ember's top leaves even tilting slightly forward because of it. If I had to guess why they where so close to each other then it's most likely because the sand pushed them towards the middle, either way, it looks great!
And what a great story to add onto so much stuff, learning about magic stuff on the island, as well as the amount of trouble Ember has when it comes to 'Tomb Raiders', giving a nice new perspective of the usual treasure hunters and showing what it's like when someone is actually still guarding that stuff, as well as the fact that a lot of them tend not to really listen to Ember, as well as that she usually has to end up resetting all those traps and fix stuff that got broken. I'd also take a wild guess and say that the Primal Forces probably alert Ember if anyone enters the temple, so she can act quickly to stop them. Also good to know that there's at least a few of those things in place, so if someone like Summer takes one out, Ember can still stop her and then take it back without the Dark Forces escaping. Summer also doesn't sounds like that great of a person if she wishes Ember would go under, though I'm sure Ember will find a way for both to get out, either by someone deactivating the trap from outside, there being some switch in the room Ember could hit with a throwing knife to deactivate the trap, or maybe Ember's spear has some magic that can disable it, either way, Ember will get out somehow, that much is for sure. :)
A great picture with a great story that is defiantly worth that big of a mouth full! Great job man! :)

I’m very glad you like it so much. :D. Indeed, so much going on in this picture. The setting/background is great, far more than I was expecting, and yeah Ember has talked about the ancient ruins, but this is the first time seeing one, as well as the dangers inside. The quicksand trap is very nice, and the sand pouring in really does add to the feeling of tension, drama and peril, while the cracked, worn stone does indeed hint at the age of the ruin. Oh, very much, the Lock Totem looks great, a nice design, and a clever little ‘signature’ from the artist, and actually I think it’s floating in front of the stone, if you look closely it seems like the ancient writings on the stone continue behind it. All in all a good little bit of world building for Ember’s island.
Summer does look very good, the short orange hair and explorer’s gear look good, and her expression certainly does show how mad she is at Ember, both for stopping her and for the situation they are in. Ember does look really good, I love her hair laying on the surface, curling away to show her back abit, while giving a very clear sideboob view. Her expression definitely tells that she is as unhappy with Summer as Summer is with her, and for good reason, having to deal with all this because Summer tried to steal an important item like that. Heh, the lightning definitely accents the anger between these two, and yeah, you gotta love the boob smoosh going on, and how even Ember leaves shift because of it. Yeah, most likely they were fighting when they fell in the trap and got stuck like that as the sand pushed them together.
Thank you, I’m very glad you liked the story, this seemed a great picture to talk about that kind of stuff, as well as the trouble she has with Thieves and ‘Tomb Raiders’, and the perspective certainly seems fitting, as Ember would be the one trying to guard such things, while a ‘Treasure Hunter’ would be trying to steal them, making them the bad guy from her point of view. And, of course they don’t listen, as for her resetting the traps and making repairs, the traps serve the same purpose, to keep people away from the Totems, so it makes sense she’d want to keep them in good working order. Most likely the Primal Forces, or something on the island would let her know if the Totems were in danger so she could stop them from being taken. Yeah, there are a few Totems on the island atleast, but removing even one could cause big problems if it can’t be put back before too long, but it wouldn’t be an immediate thing. Yeah, but that could just be the anger talking on Summer’s part, and yeah, I’m sure she will figure a way out somehow, if she maintains these ruins then no doubt she must know them pretty well, but obviously she still has to be careful in them too, but no doubt she will figure some wat out of this. :)
Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoyed it so much, and thank you for the great comment. :)

I really do! :D. Indeed, such a nice and detailed background, that is absolutely amazing to look at, and yeah, it's nice to actually be shown them instead of told about them, and a great peril on top of that, with the sand pouring in indeed giving it such a great addition of tension, drama and peril both girls seem to be ignoring in favour of being annoyed with each other. Yeah, those defiantly show how old the place is. Indeed it looks nice with a great design as a neat little 'signature' from Toughset. Hmm? Ah yes, I see what you mean, it does indeed appear to be floating. Nice touch. And indeed some great additions to Ember's island.
Oh indeed, Summer's orange hair and grey explores gear look great and match quite well, and yeah, you can really tell her hatred for her due to stopping her, and cause she blames Ember for the mess. Yeah, gotta love Ember's hair on the sand, as well as showing a little bit of her back, and yeah, that side boob isn't leaving much boob to the imagination. And yeah, you can defiantly tell Ember hates Summer as well, with her trying to steal a important totem. Oh no doubt it does, and yeah, defiantly one of the highlights of the pic, a nice squishing effect that Toughset is great at and even has Ember's leaves shift a little. Gotta love those small details. Oh indeed, there's no doubt that the sand pushed them closer to each other then either of them wanted to be.
I really did, and yeah, it makes plenty of sense to talk about that stuff here, and yeah, a fun little fact about Ember and those 'Tomb Raiders' she has to deal with, and yeah, when Ember is trying to protect the island and stop people like Summer from stealing stuff, then that would defiantly make them the bad guy for her. And no one ever does listen, and yeah, with the traps being there to keep people out, which is exactly what Ember is trying to do, it makes sense she'd make sure they are in working order. And yeah, no doubt something would let her know someone was in the temple and she needed to get there. I see, well then it's defiantly important for Ember to keep them in place and if taken, quickly return them. True, though if she's not listening to Ember, then I doubt she's that good of a person to begin with, but yeah, Ember maintains the ruins, so no doubt she'd know some way of shutting the trap off or getting out of the sand, she just has to be careful not to step in traps herself, but yeah, Ember always gets out in the end. :)
I really did enjoy it! No problem, thank you for the great pic! :)

I’m very glad to hear it. :) Yeah, the background has such great detail and is very nice to look at, and yeah it’s nice to finally see, rather than just hear about them, and yeah great peril as well, and the sand pouring in really does add to the drama and peril, even if they both seem to be ignoring it to just be mad at each other. Indeed they do show its age, and yeah, it does look very nice and is a great ‘signature’ from him. Yeah, it can be hard to tell at first, but if you look closer it becomes more apparent. Indeed, and yeah, some very good additions to her island.
Yes, her orange hair and great explorer’s gear do go well together, and her hatred is very apparently, as well as her blaming Ember for this. Oh indeed, Ember’s hair on the sand is great, the yeah of her back is a nice touch, and no, that side boob doesn’t leave much to the imagination, but just enough. Yeah, Ember’s dislike for Summer is very easy to see, and as you say, she was trying to steal something very important, afterall. Definitely a great highlight, the squishing is beautifully done by Toughset, as always, and the leaves shifting in a nice touch. Oh, indeed, the small details can make all the difference. Oh, no doubt it did, much to their dismay.
Yeah, certainly seemed a good place to talk about such things, and yeah, I though Ember’s views on such ‘Tomb Raiders’ and her dealings with them would be interesting, and no doubt her trying to protect her island and stop people from stealing would make someone like Summer the bad guy to her. No, they certainly don’t seem to, and yeah, with the traps serving the same purpose that she does it’s logical she’d want to keep them working. Yeah, surely there must be something that would alert her. Indeed it is, very important. Yeah, that could be a very good point indeed, and yeah, if Ember tends these ruins, she’d likely know some way of getting out, one way or another, and yeah, she certainly tries to avoid setting off the traps herself. Indeed she does. :)
Glad you hear it and you are very welcome. :)

Oh indeed, the detail is really nice to look at, and it's always nicer to see rather then just tell, and indeed, the pouring sand adds such nice drama and peril to this picture, though they'd better realize that fast. Indeed they do, and yeah, a nice 'signature'. It defiantly does become quite apparent that it's floating, and as such, makes the magical aspect of it more apparent, and that it's most likely important.
Indeed they do, and yeah, it's pretty clear she really hates Ember, and puts the blame for this on her, though that does make you wonder who actually activated it. Indeed it is, and yeah, always nice to get a bit of a view of her back, and yeah, there's defiantly a lot of skin being shown there, though it is at least slightly covered. Indeed, you can really tell how she feels about Summer for trying to steal the idol. Oh indeed, it defiantly is a great highlight, with the leaves shifting being a great touch. Oh that's very true. no doubt about that.
It defiantly is, and you where defiantly right about Ember's views on 'Tomb Raiders' and how she handels them, and yeah, when she's trying to keep her island save and not let the dark forces out, having someone come in to just take the idol can defiantly make them the bad guys in her eyes. Indeed, those traps have their uses to her, so it makes sense she'd want to keep them working. Indeed there should be something like that. Indeed, she keeps them in working order, so surely she must know about a switch, or a button somewhere, though yeah, it's useful to not get stuck herself. :)

Indeed it is, and yeah, great to finally see it rather than just be told about it, and yeah, the pouring sands add a very touch of peril and drama to the picture, and yeah, it would be good if they did realize that quickly. Indeed, and yeah, a very nice ‘signature’, and yeah, once you notice that it becomes obvious it’s floating, which clearly illustrates some kind of magic involved there, and no doubt that is important.
Yeah, it’s pretty apparent Summer hates and blames Ember for this, though it really isn’t clear who’s actual fault it is here. Yeah, a good view of her back, which, due to her hair, you don’t see often, and yeah, a lot of skin showing, though atleast some covering. Oh, Ember’s feelings towards Summer are pretty obvious, and yeah a nice highlight, and the shifting leaves are a nice touch. Indeed.
Glad you think so, and yeah, for someone trying to protect her island from villains and keep dark forces imprisoned to have someone come along and try to steal important things like the idol would certainly make them bad guys in her eyes. Indeed, they do the same job she does, so keeping them working helps her out. Indeed there should be. Exactly, she maintains the ruins and their traps, you would think she’d know a way out of the trap, though yeah, always best not to get stuck. ;)

Indeed, always nice to see it, indeed it adds a lot of peril and drama to this picture, and yeah, though I guess staring takes priority. Indeed, and yeah, it does indeed become more obvious, and yeah, defiantly gives a magic and important impression.
Oh indeed there's no doubt she blames her for this, though yeah, we honestly don't know who's fault it is. indeed it is, and yeah, you don't see it often, so it's nice to at least get a slight view, and yeah, defiantly a lot of skin, with just enough covered. Oh there's indeed no doubt about that, and yeah, that is a nice touch.
Indeed, having to spend all that time fighting and keeping the dark forces locked up, having someone just come in and take important stuff can certainly make them the bad guy. Indeed they do, so yeah, always important to keep them working. Indeed, she should know a way to escape or shut it off, though yeah, best not to get stuck in the first place. ;)

ndeed, and yeah, it adds so much peril, drama and just awe to the picture, and I would think it would take priority. Yeah, definitely a good impression of magic and clearly something important.
Yeah, they clearly blame each other, though it's unclear who's fault it actually is. Indeed, you don't see it often, but it is very nice when you do, and a lot of skin, covered just enough. A very nice touch indeed.
Exactly, that would certainly tick off any guardian like her, and no doubt make the one responsible seem like the bad guy. Indeed, keeping them working is in her best interests. Yeah, she likely does, but that is a very good point, when possible. ;)

Oh it absolutely does add so much to it, and yeah, so it would seem. Indeed, defiantly gives you the impression.
Indeed they do, though yeah, at this point it's hard to say actually caused it. Indeed you don't, and indeed, a lot of skin, though keeping enough covered. Indeed.
Oh there's no doubt that would upset her, and make the other look like the bad guy. Indeed it is. Indeed she probably does, though yeah, guess it's best to try and not have those fights near the triggers. ;)

It absolutely does, and it does seem so. Indeed.
Yeah, hard to say, but also kind of a moot point, though no doubt they will continue to argue about it. Indeed, enough coverage right where it's needed.
Oh, absolutely, and yeah, no doubt having fights near those is a bad idea. ;)
