maybe if the grease was actually dulling the reflectiveness and more focused towards the top it would look more like how you wanted it. I think it looks fine and you just go with its a reflection of the room XD
The shine on it being warped might also be why it looks a little off. Its super reflective, but also the reflection is bent a bit.
