"Cooties!" The word drifted down from the sky above Blue and Thistle.
"Shut up, Greenwing, or I'll shoot you down!" Blue's horn started to glow with magic.
"With your mosquito zapper? Riiiight..." The green pegasus began flying loops in the sky above the pair.
"Hush, both of you, or I won't share my sandwiches!" Thistle interjected.
"Oh food! Thanks, Thistle!" A yellow pony trotted up out of the pond, a pink tube still surrounding her middle. "What did you bring? I have cake slices we can share!"
In short order the four had a small picnic going on under the large shade tree beside their swimming pond. Thistle ensured Blue got the largest portions from her sandwiches. Soon the blue unicorn sported a slightly enlarged tummy.
The warm summer sun shone brightly on the four little ponies, soon eyelids began to droop. Buttercup curled up at the base of the shade tree in a yellow and red loaf of adorableness. Greenwing snagged a low hanging cloud and hitched it to the tree. Soft snoring soon followed. Blue yawned profusely. He looked at his orange rubber raft. "I think I know where I'll take a bit of a nap!" Magic enveloped the inflatable, levitating it into the cool waters of the pond. Soon blue was enveloped by its warm softnes.
Thistle became quickly alert. Quietly, she got one of the sticks laying on the ground near the shade tree and nibbled one of the ends sharp. Stealthily, the white filly entered the cool waters of the pond, waking her even more, and sharpening her focus. Like a ghost she moved silently through the still waters, barely leaving a ripple. Soon she was near the sleeping unicorn, her weapon poised to strike.
Gently Thistle pressed the point into the soft rubber, very slowly so as to not disturb the napping colt. The point dimpled the rubber deeply, making a tiny squeek. "Maybe if I twist just a little..." Thistle thought.
"If you wanted to float with me you could have just asked, Thistle..."
Thistle's head jerked up at the unexpected reaction. The motion pushed the stick completely into the raft with a loud pop!
This was supposed to be part 2 and done, but things grew... First experiment with transparent water, I kinda like how it turned out! =^^=
