April’s monthly Patreon picture from
shonuff44 The girls are settling in deeper, but still haven’t given up, as Hula Girl strains to reach, and Ember hangs on as best she can.
The tension in this picture is just great, that gritted teeth, one eye closed, straining expression on Hula Girl really speaks volumes of the effort she is putting forth to try to reach that surfboard, accented even more by the redness of her face and the sweat drops. Ember clearly isn’t too pleased with the situation either, likely cause all she can do is hold on, and trust in Hula Girl, and she is clearly worried about that prospect at the moment. The mud continues to look really thick and gooey, especially seen in how it clings to Hula Girl’s hand and stretches out as she reaches,… her straining expression really gives a sense of how heavy the quicksand is and how difficult it must be to move through, she is really trying hard there and it shows. I love that little bit of the surfboard that is in view, like a little hint of freedom. I adore how Ember’s hair looks as it floats atop the bog behind her, so thick and fluffy, yet shiny and smooth. The reds of her hair continue to bring a nice accent to the predominantly brown colors around them, making their tanned forms, or what’s left of them, stand out, along with the little glimpse of Hula Girl’s gold leafy band, while the light greens of the background take away alittle from the overall gloom of the mud as it threatens to swallow up these tropical heroines.
It’s pretty much down to the wire for these two, will they make it to the surfboard in time and escape the treacherous jungle quicksand? Stay tuned and find out. ;)
Yet another beautiful picture in this outstanding series. Thank you very much, ShoNuff. :)
What do you think? :D

Hula Girl has her hand out reaching towards their key to freedom, the surfboard. I really love how both Hula Girl and Ember's expressions turned out, feeling the tension and how much energy they must be exhuming from just trying to move around in that very thick mud, especially being neck deep in it. This scene really builds up a lot of suspense, and I for one cannot wait to see what happens next ;)
Yeah, she's reaching out for it, hopefully she can get to it. Yeah, the expressions look great, and such a lovely feeling of tension, and yeah, trying to push through that stuff, especially neck deep, must have taken a lot of energy already, which I think really shows on Hula Girl's face. Indeed it does, and glad to hear it, I hope you enjoy what happens next. :)
