I had someone claim my art as theirs which I only included my basic watermark on (the one at the bottom of the page) which the person cropped out. So I've started being more strict with my watermarks. Honestly there's no such thing as too much watermarking if you ask me. So many artists have their work stolen and thieves are even using these to take fake commissions and scam people. Giving art thieves something they can't just crop out is a much better fail-safe, so I have the Sioteru sticker that I have been including on everything in addition to my regular watermark.
Fair enough. If normalized, it won't be distracting at all. I just never noticed because this is the only comic that you started including it to my knowledge. Looking back at the other pieces of artwork it's a lot more prominent now but it's just a realization sort of thing. Stickers/pinups/one off artworks I saw it as normal. But seeing it posted multiple times within a given comic is intrusive. Though that is opinion, subject to change. Additionally I'm just a long time commissioner and not an artist. So more power to your own decisions! Just hope you find a happy medium especially for your main comics.
To Dust, won't be watermarked like this as it's much harder for someone to claim the entirety of To Dust, but people are constantly taking fanart and posting it without credit or consent. And I ain't about that lmao. Also commissionsers can request a watermark-free version however it's with the stipulation that it not be uploaded to the internet.
