Amirah =

Amirah has returned once again (btw, her name IS Amirah, not "Amarah," which is a typo on my part), this time sporting a new design of silvery-white hair, white tunic with blue and gold rims, a blue belt with a loincloth-like extension w/ blue and gold star rims, a garter belt with a dagger, an arm belt with a throwing knife, and beown/white thong sandals with white nail polish. Combined with the new look will be a new personality, one that is more Sonic the Hedgehog-esque, where she still is the hero who fights for justice, but is a lot more brash, cocky, witty, energetic, strong-willed, hot-blooded, somewhat arrogant, and likes to do things her own way, but this would all be spun in a more sensual and risque manner, with some elements taken from characters taken from Rouge the Bat (Where she is sexy and she knows it and likes to take advantage of it).
So, why this change? Well, for one, I wanted a design that was more unique and visually interesting for Amirah, as I felt her old look was just visually uninteresting and another tan-skinned red-head. Looking at other female desert warrior characters, I used them as references for the new outfit she wears above, with the silver hair being done to match her tunic. The other reason is because I wanted to have a character who was more like the female characters from old school adventure novels, like Dejah Thoris from Princess of Mars, both in design and personality; you know, voluptuous and figuresque, flowy clothes that barely cover her body, lots of jewelry, and a personality that is confident, willing to fight, but also uses her sexiness to her advantage (if she ever gets the chance to). The only difference between Amirah and those other characters, however, is that Amirah is a little more conservatively handled, as I don't want her games to have an average age rating of T for Teen or anything similar
I re-designed her as such because I wanted a character who was similar to those female characters, but rather than being a supporting character or damsel in distress for the male main protagonist, the female in question IS the main protagonist who goes on the awesome adventures, fights for justice, kicks monster asses, and just oozes confidence and awesomeness in the process! Essentially, Amirah is somewhat of a subversion of those characters, being those characters, but actually IS the hero and not a damsel or supporting character; I even plan to try and explicitly show off this subversion in her planned first game, Moonlight Tales 1, but how this will fold out, I'm not sure yet.
