Nice, I like how the lines get shorter and shorter. It gives it a neat feeling of speeding up as you go along.

The second stanza seems a bit off, probably because it's not quite a rhyme. 'Daughter' is kind of a hard word to work with.

Definitely a nifty poem! =^.^=

K... And yeah it is a hard word, but I just loved that line lol

Yep, it is a neat line. ^.^ I guess it depends on how much you want to stick to a set scheme; Personally, I'd rather break the scheme to fit the idea (like this case) than twist an idea to fit a scheme. It's probably all a matter of individual taste though. :P

Lol as you can tell, I feel the same way too on scheme vs idea. I mean the idea is one of the more important parts of a poem really, so in my opinion, it outways scheme just about every time.
