The difference with this lemonade is you mix lemon peels with sugar, let the oils mix in with the sugar, then put the mixture in boiled water and add the lemon juice after it's cooled off. Also the ice cubes are lemonade too so as not to water it down.
The result is a much more lemony tasting lemonade, I'm used to just the sour kick and sugar but here the lemon is very prominent and it's clear that most of that lemon flavor comes from the zest of the lemons. I only have one major complaint about this recipe, it yeilds only about 3 glasses worth of lemonade, it's not nearly enough lemonade... but it uses so many lemons and I don't know if I'll ever be in the mood to peel 12 or more lemons at a time. I might add a little mint extract if I try this again.
