This is also my first 5 below custom from the blank sitting white unicorn fakie! I used it for the stalfos Link. The golden wolf is crafted from a generation 3 fakie, and kid Link is crafted from a sleeping blind-bag-sized Applejack.
This hand made custom set was inspired by a game theory from the Nintendo video game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In the game a armor-clad stalfos trains the new hero in Twilight Princess in sword skills. He first appears as a golden wolf so I crafted both the armored stalfos version and the wolf. The story behind the theory, is the stalfos is actually the old hero from the Nintendo 64 game LoZ: Ocarina of Time but was unable to completely pass on to the afterlife until he passed down his sword skills to a descendant of his family. Kind of a sad story when you think of it, which was why I was moved to craft this inspired set. I also made a blind bag-sized sleeping Kid Link custom burrowed into the fur of the Keaton fox from Majora’s Mask, with the blue ocarina of time on his belt.
All pony figures coated in white gesso to give acrylic paint work a texture to bond to.
Sleeping Kid Link is painted in acrylics, has leather painted ears, hand stitched hat and tunic, his ocarina is painted rhinestones and leather. Keaton fox is hand stitched real leather with painted details, and hand stitched faux fur tails. Link is secured in place with glue.
Golden wolf Link is also painted in acrylics, stitched faux fur tail, mane and chest.
Paint sealed in Artists Varnish on both.
Stalfos Link has just his head and feet painted. Decided to keep some of his Hylian features for this design, so he has his red eye more or less realistic, painted leather Hylian ears and I gave him some hair. (Stalfos in the game is completely skeleton).
Armor is cut and stitched completely from real thick leather, gave it painted acrylic detail. Some flat aluminum wire detail was added, ribbon and rhinestones.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors guacamole, blonde 4, custom blend of golden delicious/sunlight, and Restoredoll katsilk medium gray hair. Bangs permanently hardened/styled in hair gel method.
I cut the original ears and horn off of the figure so I could shove wooden dowels through his head and through the top, for his helmet armor.
Finished his attire by gluing faux plants/leafs/foliage throughout the armor like the aged stalfos in the game. I didn’t add much, because I really like his armor design under the foliage.
I glued a circle of navy blue boot leather under the bottom of the figure and give it a unique signature.
Shield is cut from real thick leather, painted, strips of leather detail and a cogwheel/rhinestone. Some faux foliage glued in place.
Sword is one side faux silver vinyl, glued to a side of aluminum flashing. Handle is painted dowels, painted black detail on the blade.
