I kinda have hid this one for a long while out of embarassment, buuut, it's art of an aero, and well, i couldn't possibly have this sit and collect dust in my PC for much longer. I finally mustered courage to go do it and post it here, so here it is, up in the light for you to see! You'll notice this image is pretty dated because it isn't in line with how i design anthro living machines nowadays.
Long-story Short. Thomas & Friends is a guilty pleasure of mine, i still sometimes go watch the show for fun and read up and watch content made by adult fans of the franchise and see their takes and reviews and whatsoever they have to offer. It was a childhood hit for me being me growing up on the TV Series thanks to PBS Kids, and now that i think about it, this show, along with Jay Jay The Jet Plane, and the Pixar "Cars" Movies may have kick-started a generation of anthro machine lovers. Much like how old Disney films and the modern Zootopia have launched generations of Furries. But back on point...
I decided one day, now that im much older and fond of the things of my childhood, to explore more of T&F's model Era of the show, delving deeper into the "HiT Era" some more, whilst pushing past against the bland three-strikes formulaic episodes and others mediocre stuff (you can blame Youtuber TheUnluckyTug for giving me all the adult perspective i REALLY needed of this nostalgic show.) the HiT seasons had offered. But then i came across this episode (or more like, seen an actual footage of the character i anthro'd thanks to a TheUnluckyTug video for "Unanswerable Thomas Questions") and saw Jeremy for the first time.
The Little cute Jetliner flew under my radar (so to speak, heh heh) and i had ZERO KNOWLEDGE he even EXISTED as a character in the T&F Series! I mean, i've known Harold the Helicopter (may anthro him down the line someday) and Tigermoth (Oh and "him" too) the most because i owned DVD's of the older Britt Alcroft Era of the show, but not THIS guy. Oh no sir! I had to just find this episode he debuted in (thanks TTT&E Wikia!)and watch his debut fo myself. Well like always, it was another "Thomas and the insert-relevant-thing-here-style" of episode and oh boy, i was pretty excited to see Jeremy for the first time.
His design looked pretty clean and very pure, the dark denim-colored teardrop on his "head" looked excellent in a minimalist style his model design put forth unto him. He was a cute lil' shrunken BAC-111 (his basis for his model) and looked so adorable when you view'd him form certain angles and just, AGH~!!! HE'S JUST SO FUCKIN' ADORABLE!!! If you look past the weird eye-thing he's got going, that i fixed up when i anthro'd him. Speaking of anthro'ing Jeremy....
My design was to stay close to his design as possible, but giving him some added improvements his design could be, whilst also still maintaining what he really was. Honestly i couldn't besmirch his wholesomeness by making him nude so i gave him clothes that scream: "HEY, I FLY TO THAT WEIRD-ASS ISLAND THAT HAS THE TALKING TRAINS WITH FACES!!!" That being Sodor's Canonical flag as the top of his "livery suit" for him. With his pants being his "Skin" color.
Now that i think about it, i need to revise his design AGAIN because i borked up and didn't realize the BAC-111's wings were BELOW the windows, aaaaannnd you can see the problem that his wings are ABOVE the windows. That and because of how out-dated his design looks towards my Living-Machine design philosophy. He could use a good image remastering.
Anyway, now that i hopefully stroked enough nostalgia from others, i may go visit the Island of Sodor more often to come up with new living-machine characters and ideas. Good luck trying to convince me to make any character from this series lewd as an anthro or not, there's SO MANY RED FLAGS that come from that that i don't wanna be associated with! So fuck on off with them ideas, man, and go think of something more conventional for me to draw than ruining childhoods! :P
Also excuse the Naruto run of Mr. Dolphin-Plane, thats how i see anthro aircraft take off as they sprint towards take-off speed with their jets supporting them in the endeavor.
TL;DR Hey look at this obscure funny plane boi i found on some kids show of talking trains with faces, hah hah, i made him an anthro. Blah blah blah nostalgia blah.
