Here is a tool I made from a piece of sheet metal and a length of rebar.
It's a leather working tool called a "Stitch spacer" or a "Pricking wheel".

To use this tool you run it across a piece of leather and the marks it make will be where you put your holes.

I'll be making more leather working tools later on.

The handle is not made by me, it is just one of the many random handle like objects I keep in a box for times like this when I am too lazy to make one.

The most difficult part to make was star wheel. Lots of angles to map out on a piece of sheet metal and a lot of of filing. For some reason I can only map out 8 pointed stars, so I might try do something different later on.

The next one to be made is that one in the same shot, but it will have a smaller wheel for tighter spacing.
