Hmmmm well, It will be completely up to the artist. Some do this for me and some don't as its something I don't specify on my ref sheet. This situation here is because its BlackSunDi's art style. I do have some good news! I have another art from Blacksundi to upload. :D
Yayyy I must say that you have a good thought process going with this small detail. I think that, at times, it's better to just let the artists do the style or feature they feel more comfortable with. On the plus side, pads are also easier to draw, so you're hard pressed to find them with faulty anatomy :P I wanna do a Dradgien art with pads but Drad doesn't let me he's going to take a while to convince why scalie dragon with pads are just as normal as the rest of their kind, with an added dose of cuteness.
