Azure and I have an interesting relationship. I had been wondering how sad it is that the most unique thing a cat does is meaningless to someone who isn't an owner. Cat videos online are strange because these are things that fascinate a human, but to me they're just cats living their life. The world is more interesting for sharing our lives with timid pensioners of our powers, as Hardy wrote in a poem ("Last Words To A Dumb Friend") that still hurts to read but which I can recite from memory. "Better blankness day by day/ than companion torn away."

I bit off a chunk of my lip eating fried tofu tonight instead, but I didn't draw this to be misery porn. I'd rather celebrate that it's stopped bleeding, and the friend's surgery went great, and the Braves, one day after being one of only two teams in the Major Leagues besides the Rangers to not post a condemnation of homophobic bullying, lost to the Dodgers quite miserably. (The first inning ended 2-0, and they scored nothing the rest of the night and the Dodgers kicked their asses 2-11. The fans were righteous and ecstatic. That was fun. I'm starting to understand why people love sports.)
