(Do not favorite my work if you are not going to decently comment, it's disingenuous to artists/writers who like positive feedback on efforts.)
Well a Pokemon professor or something apparently died in a trailer for that Arceus game....though we do kind of hear his running footsteps as he got away, so people are really freakin' for nothing.
Anyway, to make you feel better, here's a big orange dragon getting his diaper changed. Oh, and a lesson of course, but who learns those....
Pokemon - Padded Purple! - Episode 2 - Chapter 8 A Kind Gesture
My eyes went to the only swim-diapered Pokemon in the room, as I noticed the Seadra splutter in the water for a moment before straightening up, wide awake. It shifted a bit, then seemed to focus it's attention toward the fountain area. "Sea...dra!" it called over, rather loudly. I had no idea what it had woken up for, but Wyatt seemed to...
"Oh, me and my stories...thank you Ripple!" Wyatt called over to the Seadra, who started circling in it's pool again, awake this time. Wyatt got up, Chansey actually going over to help him, lightly putting Gleam back to where he was. Then he turned his attention to the fountain, beckoning me to follow. I started to, but then remembered to put the framed picture I had been handed back to where it was.
I paused when I placed it back, spotting a second frame. It looked to be a young woman standing beside a young boy. not too many defining features...bit of black hair and a hat. Hey...I know that hat! It's one of those Pokémon League Expo hats. They only made a limited number of those from time to time. I sent in a few postcards to get it every year but...I never win. Was that his...son and wife? Or maybe his grandson and the mother? Wow...friends with so many Pokemon...and even had a family too...
"Sorry you had to listen to an old man's ramblings, I was waiting for a package," Wyatt apologized as I walked behind him.
"O-oh no...it's fine, I liked it actually," I replied honestly. "This...this all really matters to you doesn't it?" I felt myself asking as we neared the balcony.
"Yes," Wyatt replied simply. "If we treat Pokemon like our own children...the world would be a much better place," he added, holding up the cane to stop me from walking past him. "You...might want to stand back for this friend of mine."
"A friend of---whoa!"
I backed up a bit more, as the wind whipped about me. Wyatt gave an 'oh!' as his hat blew off his head into the room, but, like a flash, I spotted Gleam grab it out of the air before it hit the brazier, surprising the Magmar within. So much for letting an injury stop lightning incarnate...!
Looking back toward the cause of the gust of wind, I saw a huge orangish dragon land on the balcony, landing with a big thump, and a bundle of crinkles.
"Ah! Gunny! There you are my friend!" Wyatt announced throwing his arms wide open to hug the huge creature as I got up from my half-crouch now that the gust was over. I looked up at the Dragonite that towered over me. It was big, intimidating, but had a smile on it's face...with a bit of a blush on it too for some reason. One hand was wrapped around Wyatt very carefully, the other carrying what looked to be some kind of case. Toward the bottom, I saw the giant diaper taped to the dragon Pokemon's hips...and spotted the lumpiness to it below it's tail.
Oh, guess that explains the blush.
"That the package yes? Good good."
"Drag...nite...?" the Dragonite murmured.
"Oh no, it's quite fine Gunny. The boy enjoyed our conversation, honest lad."
"...o...o...onite?" the dragon questioned, blushing more. He glanced at me briefly, and I suddenly realized...was this HUGE dragon Pokemon embarrassed to be seen in a dirty diaper by me? Wow...
"Oh yes, don't worry Gunny," Wyatt remarked, patting the side of the dragon's diaper. "Oh, Care, can I ask for your help please?" he called over. Care? Who was---
I looked over and saw the Chansey jump to it's feet, rushing over to us, coming to stand in front of Wyatt, who gestured toward Gunny. Chansey brought a hand to it's mouth, looking over the dragon as if to see what needed help. Then it sped over to the side and pulled the rear waistband of the large diaper, the Dragonite straightening up more and trying not to look at anyone as his diaper was publicly checked.
"Chansey!" Care announced, the dragon before her shivering a bit in embarrassment as she came over and took gestured for him to lower his hand. The Dragonite lowered itself so Chansey could take his head, and started leading him into the room. I backed up, watching the dragon grimace in humiliation as his soiled diaper came into view. Thankfully all I smelt was some lemony powder that must have covered the worst of things.
"Hmm, well, come on then," Wyatt remarked, getting my attention. In his hand was the case, which Gunny had given him when Chansey came over. The old man started following them, much to my confusion, and gestured me to follow. The Chansey led the dragon to what seemed to be another door I hadn't noticed in the corner. I got a little worried. If Chansey was going to 'help' this dragon with his dirty diaper...did that mean this was...some kind of...changing room? I was a bit concerned how that would look, given the 'all natural' look Wyatt had going in the main room with the water, fire, and topiary.
As we entered though, it seemed more modern, almost reminding me of a Pokemon Center. Silver walls and white walls, gray lining, and electric lights. In fact, there seemed to be a few medical machines around...oh, that make sense...even more now. Everyone in city knew it, but I think those outside our home were unaware...unaware of the connection between Poke-Poofs and the Centers around the world.
"Oh...so that's why you do it..." I whispered, looking at a read out machine I remember from my recent trip to the Center.
"Mmm? Do what?"
"The money for..." I started, pointing at the machine.
"Oh yes," Wyatt chuckled. "That's right...Gleam's condition also inspired me to donate a portion of Poke-Poof's income to the Pokemon Centers of the world. I may not walk the path of the Trainer anymore...but for the Pokemon who do choose to fight, they shouldn't be denied help in another way."
Wow, that's amazing. Not only did Wyatt help Pokemon and people bond by his company's products...but also used a portion of the money to help those abroad, fighting for their Trainers. I smiled at that. It was a little funny, that people, including Trainers, who used the Centers...didn't know that they were funded thanks to Pokemon diapers.
Squish...
Oh, right, diaper...
I turned my attention to where Wyatt was, watching as the big dragon sat down on the abnormally large table in the middle of the room, his diaper audibly squishing and crinkling. I noticed there were three tables in this room, two on the wall furthest from the door, in little alcoves that were wide enough that the walls blocked them each from view. The center had a much larger table...maybe fit to the proportions of the dragon Pokemon currently on it...
Gunny was rubbing a shoulder, still blushing madly as he sat in his soiled diaper, the Chansey ducking to the base of the table. The egg-Pokemon took out what seemed to be super-sized versions of changing supplies, a big tub of wipes and a bottle of powder that looked like you needed two hands to use.
"I'm getting much older than I feel," Wyatt remarked offhandedly, taking my attention as he placed the package he had gotten on a side counter. "So I requested a Chansey to help me out around here for some of the harder tasks. I still try to do it when I can, however."
"Oh," I mouthed, realizing that explained why Chansey wasn't in the picture Wyatt had showed me. "Umm...where's the Jynx?" I asked, rounding out the Pokemon roster.
"Mel? Oh, she mostly works on the factory floor...can be kind of strict with the other Pokemon, probably scared poor Gunny here so much to deliver the package that he well..."
I grimaced. Mel sounded scary. I looked over to see Chansey having a little trouble with getting what seemed to be a huge diaper out from a compartment in the table. Chansey on the other hand...seemed sweet, even if she gave some bone crunching hugs.
I waited a few seconds, seeing Wyatt just watching, and Gunny nervously twiddling his claws...and felt a little compelled. I walked over, not seeing Wyatt's smile behind me, as I came around and helped Chansey.with the big diaper. She was a little surprised by my presence...so was I. Then again, after hearing Wyatt's story, I just felt...I dunno...wanted to help.
"Wow," I remarked as me and Chansey finally pulled the big diaper up, setting it on the side of the table. It was HUGE, soft, and crinkled a storm with a single touch. It was almost as big as I was!
I looked up at the embarrassed dragon, who tried to smile while not looking at me. I smiled a little too, about to head back to Wyatt, till Chansey took me by the hand and started moving me over to the opposite side of the sitting Dragonite. I let her lead me, but was growing increasingly worried about what she was leading me TOO. I had wanted to help Chansey with getting a CLEAN diaper out of a container but I wasn't aiming to---
"Chansey...Chan...sey!" Chansey indicated, pointing. I followed her hand, the Dragonite sitting on the table trying to look back at us without moving his messy diaper. Above the dragon's thick tail was the large, bluish tape that locked the tail hole loop. I looked back at the Pokemon closer to me, wide-eyed.
"I-I-I..." I said with the perfection of speech. Chansey repeated her gesture, indicating the tape. I grimaced, worried Chansey wanted me to CHANGE this dragon's diaper. No way! I mean, sure, I've done it before, but for Pokemon bigger than me. Plus...itt wasn't my Pokemon...
"I think she wants you to undo the tail tape," Wyatt called over to us, smiling. "Got to do that first before she can get to changing heh heh."
"Oh..." I breathed, a little relaxed. "I thought...oh."
"Oh my boy, you're not experienced enough for that!" Wyatt remarked, laughing. Gunny gave him a less than happy look, though Wyatt smiled at him good-naturely.
After the reassurances, I guess I should follow along. I couldn't reach the tape standing where I was...but the Dragonite seemed reluctant to move from his position. I tested the table and then looked to Wyatt, who shrugged and motioned me to do what I was thinking. I stepped onto the table, standing behind the Dragonite, which seemed to spook him a little. Weird...with me standing on a table and him sitting, we were like at the same height.
"Umm...ok...I'm uhh...just...going to...get the tape off ok?" I decided to tell him. Gunny looked over his shoulder at me, then seemed to remember how embarrassed he was looking at me and turned away. Any movement he was doing, tail including, stiffened as he realized I was going to be doing something. Jeez...this big dragon Pokemon, who I read was pretty strong, was seizing up around me. Won't see that in a Pokemon battle....
I gulped, looking down at the back of the dragon's diaper. His tail wasn't moving, so I didn't have to worry about that. The tape was firmly latched above it...and below it was the lumpy mess the diaper contained. I flexed my fingers, unsure if I wanted to do this. Then again...I lived in a town full of diapered Pokemon. If I ever got large one...I would have to do this right? Or...take them to a Poof Place instead...but...ermm...
I reached over with one hand and placed the digits against the holding slit of the tape, which didn't have adhesive on it, and held firm. I tried to just pull it then, the diaper being tugged as I did so. Gunny mumbled a little bit as I pulled. It was on there pretty good...made sense...a diaper for a Pokemon this size would have to be extra secure. I moved closer, the dragon's tail between my shoes as I took a few breaths to gather some...courage I guess?
I reached over one hand and placed it on the dragon's back. I felt the Dragonite's body shiver a bit at the touch, and I guess his eyes were wide at the realization I was going through with the task. Bracing with one hand on the dragon's firm, tough body and pulling the tape with the other, I felt the adhesive give a little, and then fully, the tape ripped a little bit of the diaper as it came off. Gunny started a bit, looking back to make sure his diaper hadn't come off.
"Mmm...good...but should try not to rip the diaper..." Wyatt remarked as I got down from the table. I heard what he said...but I had just undid the tail tape of a big dragon's dirty diaper...that was harrowing enough for me to knock out the concept of arguing that detail.
Wyatt came over to me as Chansey instructed Gunny to lay down. I guess the dragon had a permanent face of embarrassment for this whole experience, as he kept it as Chansey got on the table and tugged on the two tapes on the front of his diaper. I looked away when she opened the huge garment, the lemony powder doing it's best to mask the smell. Thankfully, Chansey was quick to handle the situation, using huge, towel-sized wipes to take care of the mess, placing everything in the huge diaper and taping it up, but not rolling it up. The diaper looked like two large pillows tapped together, albiet filled with something you do want pillows filled with.
I blew out a breath, realizing I was holding it the whole time. Beside me, Wyatt chuckled, though I swear I hadn't seen him breath normally through that whole portion either. I would have argued why I was here watching a dragon get his diaper changed, but by the time I recovered from the initial clean up, and Chansey had slid the new diaper under Gunny, Wyatt and the egg-Pokemon looked to me.
"Help me up here would you lad?"
I scrunched my face at being called a 'lad' but guessed to help anyway. Standing back on the table, I saw the Dragonite looking down beyond it's belly and between it's legs at us, biting it's lip a bit, shame written on it's face. I guess that was because of me again, staring at this strong looking dragon with his diaper open.
"Alright Gunny, I can do this part," Wyatt commented, handing me his cane as he took the supersized bottle of powder, him by one side, Chansey the other. They tipped it down, causing a white waterfall of lemony smell powder to fall into the insides of the diaper, the front, then near the middle, then between the dragon's legs.
"Allllmost there Gunny," Wyatt said, putting down the powder with Chansey and rubbing his back. "Now lets get this on you shall we?" he said, moving by me as Chansey went on the other side of the dragon. The Dragonite grimaced, shooting me a blushing look before turning his head away and spreading his legs wide.
Wyatt and Chansey each took a wing of the front of the diaper and appeared to count down from three. On the last moment, they both pulled the diaper backward, which pulled the diaper between the dragon's legs. It was weird watching it from this position. It was almost like the rare times I made my bed and fluffed the sheets.
The diaper cover up the front, with Chansey and Wyatt using a hand to tug it up better and keep it positioned. Together, they made adjustments on each side, then brought the back wings of the diaper over, judging the positions. Satisfied after a few seconds, they undid the tapes from their initial place, and pulled the wings close to the front, taping the star-patterned diaper on securely.
"There you go Gunny, feel better now?" Wyatt asked the dragon, running a hand down it's bald head as Chansey went around the diaper, making slight adjustments.
"D...drago?" Gunny replied, smiling at Wyatt, as if asking if HE did well.
"Oh yes, you were a good boy, like always. You just take more time, but like I tell you, it's alright," Wyatt told him, smiling and touching his forehead to the dragon's snout. The blushing on the dragon faded a bit as the Dragonite smiled too, clapping it's hands together.
"Chansey!" the other Pokemon announced, stepping away from the freshly diapered dragon. Gunny sat up, with Wyatt helping him...though doubted the big dragon needed help with that. The Dragonite looked down at it's fresh padding, smiling and flexing his legs and tail a bit to make it crinkle. It was...weird seeing this dragon beam at a disposable diaper fit for him, taking so much joy from it's presence.
After nearly a minute of enjoying his new diaper, he gave it a great big pat, causing a cloud of powder to puff from the leg and tail holes. I coughed a bit at that. My cough seemed to remind him of my presence, as his upper body shot up and looked at me like I was a parent catching a child doing something naughty. He glanced at Wyatt after a few seconds, fully turning his head a few seconds more.
"Oh yes, Gunny, be a gentle-dragon and thank this young man for his contribution," Wyatt said, gesturing to me. Gunny bit his lip, glancing my way without looking at me directly.
"Oh...it's...ok, he doesn't have to," I said, trying to make the dragon feel better, though I had no real obligation to. He just seemed so embarrassed by me being involved...couldn't blame him for that. He twiddled his claws, drooping his head to look down at himself, and then glanced up at me with just his eyes.
"Oh no it's fine, come closer young man, Gunny doesn't bite," Wyatt chuckled. I hope. I hoped he was being serious.
Cautiously I made my way closer, and when I had just passed his hips, I suddenly found myself pressed against the dragon's chest, arms at my side, and my right leg resting on the Pokemon's diaper front. I blinked, unsure what had just happened. Replaying it in my head, I think the Dragonite had grabbed me when I was close, but it was so fluid and void of violent intent that I hadn't reacted with surprise till the very end. My leg was the result of the pull-in, and I would have been off balance if not for the dragon embracing me.
And...actually...strangely unlike Chansey, who's egg-pouch may have been pressing into my stomach, Gunny's hug felt...really nice. I thought his scales would be rough and tough, but they were smooth. There was also a warmth, like the lingering power of the dragon within was heating me up too. I think I could feel the Pokemon's heartbeat too....he was being really genuine with thanking me for something so trivial.
"Aw, see, friends now," Wyatt remarked from the side, breaking me out of the literal zone of comfort.
"Uh...uh yeah..." I replied, almost not wanting to break this hug. Was this the type of affection a Pokemon gave just for the little bit I did? What would be like doing the whole changing thing? For my own...Pokemon...
Gunny carefully let go, as if assuring I would get to balancing myself first and not fall off the table. I had to do a little jump step to get my other leg back down, the dragon blushing lightly as it left the diaper crinkling in it's wake. We looked at each other, giving some half-smiles. His face paled a little though, looking behind me, and I glanced to see the Chansey taking a little careful steps to push the Dragonite's former diaper off the table and into a large receptacle she had moved beside it earlier.
Gunny started a bit when Wyatt patted his head before pulling an arm around the dragon's neck. "Yes, Gunny here's become a big softy since we retired. Fine by me. It was hard for him at first," Wyatt started, with the dragon looking between him and me with slight panic.
"Oh Gunny, it's nothing to be embarrassed about," Wyatt told him, though Gunny seemed quite at odds about what he was going to say. "Gunny was one of my later companions. He was a Dragonair doing the early years of the company. Back then, it was quite difficult to figure out a proper diaper for Pokemon of...snakish proportions, which meant he was left out like Ripple."
Wyatt smiled, patting the back of the dragon's diaper, causing him to blush again, but giving a half-grin as well. "Hm hm. Gunny wanted to be in diapers too, to fit in, so I tried to do my research on the matter."
I saw the look on Gunny's face that said 'you didn't have to tell him THAT', and grinned a little at the Dragonite. It was kind of cute that a powerful dragon-type actually WANTED to be diapered before it became common heh heh.
"But," Wyatt started again, resting his elbow on the dragons shoulder like he was talking to an old chum from school. Close enough comparison I guess. "Wouldn't ya know it? When I think I almost get it figured out, the rest take him out to cheer him up about it...and he evolves into a great big dragon!"
"Drago..." Gunny half-heartily laughed, still blushing.
"Yes, you grew arms AND legs, quite a new experience for you, you were so happy!" Wyatt told him.
"...onite," Gunny commented, raising a brow at Wyatt.
"No no, I was happy for you!" Wyatt replied, hand raised. "Sure, the work I did at the time kind of...didn't apply, but it would for future Pokemon. They should thank you for that."
"Anyway," he added, looking to me. "At that point, it was at least easier to do something for him. All I had to do was make BIGGER diapers!"
"I'll say," I couldn't stop from saying, looking at the dragon's big fluffy diaper.
The two started talking to each other, but I was simply watching right now. An old man who used to be a Trainer, who's mission now was to connect Pokemon and people, and a powerful dragon in a freshly changed diaper. It was strange to see them connected like this, a testament to Wyatt's efforts. Wyatt didn't seem to know where his own son was, and it seemed he only had one photo of his, supposed, grandson. But he had his Pokemon...a different kind of family he had bonded with...is this...?
"Is...this why you called me Mr. Wyatt?" I asked, forgetting about the whole title thing.
"What's that?"
"This," I repeated, gesturing with a flat hand at him and Gunny together.
"To help change my dragon?" Wyatt asked humorously.
"N-no, not that," I replied, scratching the side of my purple hair. "I don't know...telling me you were a Trainer...why you started all this...and having me watch this...it's like you want me to see what the life's like in full or something."
Both human and dragon blinked, then looked to each other. "Told you," Wyatt whispered to the Dragonite, grinning. "Yes, well, lets get to the reason shall we?" he said to me, seeming to intentionally dodge my guess.
I watched as the big dragon got to his feet, turning around and unintentionally showing me his huge diapered rump. I smiled hesitantly at it, grateful it wasn't the other one. With ease and steadiness he had shown to me, he picked up Wyatt and carried him the two feet off the table before setting him on his feet.
I followed suit, following around the table, hearing the THUMP of a diaper hitting the inside of an empty container behind me. Gunny cringed at the sound, but was back to normal as I approached. Wyatt reached over and took the black case that Gunny had arrived with.
"Young man," Wyatt started, his voice more official, like it had been when he spoke in the entrance room. "I asked you before what you thought of Pokemon. What they meant to you. To me, they are a family...albiet one I...may have treated wrong at the start," he admitted, looking down.
Beside him, Gunny moved an arm across the old man's shoulder, placing another to his chest, steadying Wyatt, diaper crinkling as he moved. It was as if the dragon's gesture was to say 'no you didn't'. Wyatt smiled, nodding at the Dragonite's show of compassion.
"I take care of them, they take care of me. We may bicker and argue at times, like any family...but there is no reason for us to fight among each other. While I will not say that being a Trainer had it's attractive points...I never reached a...end," he said, making me think of when he mentioned the idea of being a "Master" was impossible.
"But after what I did for Gleam...and what I'm doing for other Pokemon...when I see those happy faces in the street, with conflict a forgotten memory...I feel content. Fulfilled in a way I rarely was before. It may seem...dull to some...but the simple moments..."
"Sharing your labors with each other..."
I remembered Wyatt and Scyther's interactions, how the former supported the later's hobby, and how Scyther seemed so intent on making the perfect bush-Wyatt.
"Laying in a chair together..."
I remembered how content Gleam looked laying on Wyatt's lap. The smile on Wyatt's face when he laid his head against the Jolteon, hearing the Pokemon's heart...
"And even the simple act of a diaper change heh..."
I remembered how Gunny was, embarrassed, but with happiness below the surface that came out at the end. The honest hug he gave me for the little I did to help him...
"It's the simple moments every day that bring us together...more so than any one adventure," Wyatt concluded, looking at me firmly to see if I understood.
I did. I didn't think too different of the diapered Pokemon in the city. It was the norm to me. So far, I had been focused on my own life...school mostly, trying to figure out what I wanted to eventually do. And here was Wyatt. Sure, he was rich, and that was a big factor but...it seemed what made him happy was being around the Pokemon he cared about, and they cared about him too....
I...I wanted that? Was that...?
"He will be discharged tomorrow, you know that right?"
I blinked, on the cusp of thinking I finally understood what it was Wyatt had been doing since I walked into the building. "W-what?"
"The Salandit."
"The...Salan...oh...right," I fumbled, trying to concentrate on what Wyatt was saying now and still holding onto what this whole day had been about.
"Yes. The one you saved young man," he said, pointing to me. I looked up, seeing him and Gunny giving me a smile. "I was informed of your act of heroism when my company was contacted, specifically concerning diapers for such a Pokemon. Truth be told, we had not made a diaper for that type of Pokemon yet."
"O-oh," I mumbled, still trying to hold onto previous thoughts.
"Reason being, Salandit are not native to this region. And people have their...reservations about Poison-types, especially in a peaceful city like this," Wyatt shrugged, seeming to not agree with the thought. "It's curious one was out here alone by itself...perhaps gathering food for a female...but to come out so far..."
Wyatt trailed off, giving me the crucial seconds to wrap a box around what I had experienced so far and seal it shut. Good, there's some important things here, I know it, they're saved like a memory stick for a video game...
"Regardless...you, young man, helped a Pokemon in need," Wyatt carried on, looking at me firmly.
"Well...he looked so..." I trailed off myself, opening the box of the memory of that moment where I found that weak lizard in the forest.
"Maybe you didn't know what kind of Pokemon you found, or maybe you did. Regardless, it was also certainly wild. But regardless of possible danger, you brought it all the way here, and asked for aid. That, like I said, was a heroic act."
"I...don't know about heroic," I admitted, thinking that was a rather embellished term for it.
"That Pokemon may think otherwise..."
"Don't think...he did," I mumbled, remembering my last encounter with the lizard in the Center.
"Hm hm," Wyatt chuckled, looking down at the case in his hands. "Some Pokemon are proud or naturally impish in nature...doesn't mean they don't have a good heart."
"I guess..."
Wyatt stared at the case for a moment, and started to hand it in my direction. "Rough starts happen young man. I imagine that little Salandit has quite a few bad experiences. Maybe THIS will be the start of good ones..."
I stared down at the case, back to Wyatt, then the case. He wanted me to open it? Well...ok. I took the case lightly, undoing the snaps that held it in place. Inside was a foggy-looking plastic...thing. Taking it out of the case, it looked like those wrappings people ship new electronic equipment in, binding a squareish object.
I pulled the bits of tape holding it together and took it off...revealing a disposable diaper in a thick, but compact plastic cover. The diaper had little purple, black, bluish orbs as wetness indicators on the front, with light bits of purple around the leg bits and waistband, and orange seal bands for both the leg and tail holes.
Yep...a...Pokemon diaper I guess?
"...for you both."
I glanced up at Wyatt, then back at the diaper. Wait, what?
"Wait...what?" I asked, looking up.
Wyatt smiled, coming over to me and looking down at the diaper with me. "Poison types are rare in the City...and that may just be from visitors. But I had enough experience to make this new batch. It should handle a Salandit's natures till a proper make is determined."
"A Salandit...what? The one I saved?" I asked, straightening up.
"That's right."
"B-but if they're...releasing him into the wild...why did...you...?"
"Dear boy..." Wyatt sighed, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Do you want them...to release him?"
"W-well...no. I mean, yes? Maybe I...it's not my..."
"It can be."
"What?"
"It can be your choice," Wyatt said, looking down at me. "You saved him from death, young man. If you so choose, you can choose a better path for him...for you both."
"Both?"
"Yes," Wyatt smiled, looking back at Gunny. "I have seen, I have known, the bond between man and Pokemon. And I have set my path to forging it for the better." He looked back to me. "A path that you, like others, can follow," he said, placing a hand on the plastic covering of the poison-styled diaper.
I looked down at the thing, at it's thick, poofiness, the poisony colors...and imagining it ON that Salandit. I imagined the thought of us sitting in a comfortable chair together, him, safe and sound and resting after a tired day of fun, me, feeling the bundle of warmth on my lap that went with me everywhere I go. I imagined us playing video games together, with his tail firing up every time we beat a level I couldn't do on my own heh. I imagined his own blushing face when I was changing his diaper, while he chuckled at my fumbling during it. But in the end we do an awkward hug that we eventually admit to each other is of great affection...
Is that what I needed? Is what Wyatt had...what I wanted?
"What do you say young man? Would you like to adopt the lizard you saved?"
What I'd seen, I had put in a box in my head. But I placed a tag on it as well, one with letters in big font that read...
And I never did.
Don't Forget And I never did.
