Kass, Teba, and Revali share their defeat from a pair of Bokoblins!
In a different timeline of a ruined Hyrule, the historic event of the Second Great Calamity has been slightly altered. Calamity Ganon still destroyed Hyrule Castle, defeated its five Champions, and seized control of their Divine Beasts. However, two of the Champions survived the attack instead of only one. In this timeline, the Rito Champion, Revali, suddenly vanished in a mysterious blue light during the battle and avoided his fate. Unfortunately, this alteration left Ganon with more Malice to spare with one less target. This consequence persisted as time passed, empowering even the weakest of wild monsters to formidable levels. The Malice-filled monsters began to raid small towns and outposts as the Champions were gone for years, but they have recently grown bold with their newest target: Rito Village.
As the monsters were seen closing in on the village from afar, the Rito had to plan their next move. Reports from their scouts confirmed that the village was surrounded, thus limiting civilian evacuation on the ground. However, escaping to the skies was impossible as Revali’s Divine Beast would blast anyone out of the air due to Ganon. It was decided that a small group of warriors would escort civilians away on the ground, while the rest stayed behind to defend the village. Some civilians volunteered to stay. As the plan went into motion, the warriors and volunteers who stayed behind went into the forest to try and slow the monsters’ advance.
While Teba was a skilled archer in combat, Kass was a simple bard who volunteered to help all he can. When both entered the forest to prepare for the monsters ahead, a sudden flash of blue light caught their attention. Carefully, the two went towards the location of the light to investigate. What they found shocked them beyond belief. It was Revali from the past a hundred years ago. He stood there confused before spotting Teba and Kass who were still in shock. All three of them remained silent for a while, not sure of what to say.
Eventually Kass tried to introduce himself to Revali…until he was interrupted by a strong and blunt force onto the back of his head! The large body of the minstrel bird went limp as he fell onto the ground, unconscious. A common Bokoblin with a Boko Club stood behind the downed Kass; Malice emanating from it. Teba readied his bow while Revali backed up to do the same, realizing that this Bokoblin was stronger than the ones in the past. Using his Gale ability, Revali flew up and tried to shoot his enemy from the sky; only to hear Teba warn him about the Divine Beast. He barely dodged a laser blast in the air thanks to Teba, but the beam still scraped his wing, making Revali fall and slam into the ground! Revali struggled to get back up only for the crushing force of a heavy bat to keep him prone and asleep! Another Bokoblin appeared before the unconscious Revali, now with a Dragonbone Boko Bat. It was two-on-one as Teba tried to shoot an arrow, but it was over in an instant as the first Bokoblin gave him a beating in the gut before the other finished him off! Teba fell back onto the floor, unconscious and panting alongside Kass and Revali. The sun illuminated the bodies of the unconscious birds as they all panted together on the warm and soft grass. As the Bokoblins admired their work, taunting their weak and unconscious opponents, they soon left them on the ground when ordered to retreat. While the village was not overtaken, the future was worrying for the Rito; especially if three of their kind was reduced to an unconscious and panting bird pile, sleeping off their defeat.
