This is an early version of a type of antenna called a Branch, that the new version of the Woodborn species uses to communicate with each other using radio waves. It's called a Branch because of it's visual similarities to thick tree branches. The right one is a dissection of a Branch of a Woodborn, showing the nervous pathway up the branch. Later version will include clusters of nervous tissue and receiver nodes inside of the branch.

I wanted to post this to get the concept out there through drawing, even though it's is Scraps.
I am trying to get a better understanding of the species I am creating by making anatomical art of them as if it was from a scientific study. From what I have so far, it will definitely significantly help me understand and work out the mechanics of them.
