Recently, I had a conversation about my characters and their personality development with a good friend of mine. I was talking through how facets of my characters have grown darker, and the question back to me was "what does that say about you"?
And, I mean, I have ZERO illusions about what people must think of me, if they know nothing about me besides my art.
That said, I think this is one of those pictures where - if you know nothing else about me than this picture - you'll get a pretty accurate first impression of me. Shit, if you find yourself asking "why is this character wearing devil horns in a Christmas picture" you're most of the way there.
For whatever that's worth. tl;dr yandere badgerwife is unhinged.

🤣 I love the sweater. I'm not big on the holidays thanks to retail and personal issues but this busted me up.
And it's funny. I don't feel like she got "darker" necessarily... But a more comical air. I mean she's always been a dark character with her love of knives and stuff. I always saw her as elegant in the past due to some select pictures I've seen in your ToyHou.se, but this yandere reveal kinda clashes with that view and I love it.
I'm still clinging to the hope that she's still got her elegance that I interpreted, but it doesn't feel like the central focus of her personality... Which it somewhat did in the past. For me, naturally.
I feel like I'm probably way off base, or rambling at this point, but I love the evolution she's taken.

I'm glad for your comment, thank you! The 'elegant' portion of her is still there, though - as you say - it clashes a bit with what is emerging in her. You see, the beginning chapter of Zoelle's life was really rough. After her rescue and adoption, she was taught elegance. However, she did not grow up with it; instead, it's been a bolt-on sort of trait that her new family taught her as a life improvement. That said, Zoelle's past life trauma has made her very clingy and jealous and attention-ravenous. Therefore, all the yandere traits in her are coming to the surface out from underneath any 'learned elegance'. She still has her graces, but they're a thin veneer over something much less graceful underneath.
