The last steam engine to be built for the Union Pacific Railroad came to my home town.... Too bad he wasn't sitting next to Big Mike. Seeing those two old engines would've been a wonderful sight.

It was there for RailFest in North Platte, Nebraska & we could hear the whistle At Cody Park which is a couple miles away Also all UP Heratige(sp) Locos were there Except SP Darn

That is an almighty engine, and looks even more so from that angle. Amazing from my UK perspective to think that when US steam loco production ended there were still well over 1,000 more to be built over here!
