And let’s start the New Year with a bang, thanks to the December Patreon of
shonuff44 where the confrontation between Hula Girl and Mecha Hula Girl is already off to a heck of a start, it seems this robotic knockoff means business.
As fierce as the first picture was, this one is so much fiercer, with an amazing sense of motion and tension. The jets on Mecha’s legs and the flaring back of her hair gives a great feel of her rocketing forward to attack. While Hula Girl’s posture and the swaying of her hair and leaves shows her braced for the attack, as she brings her spear around to block, teeth gritted to further the feel of her enduring the hit. And the motion lines and the rocks being blown about only adds to action, not to mention the tearing up of the ground almost gives the impression of Hula Girl being pushed back, while the close-up panels really add to the tension between Hula Girl and her mechanized opponent. I must also say, I love how Hula’s skulls are glaring as well, and of course the unexpected upskirt shot with Mecha Hula Girl. Heh. This fight is only getting started, yet things are already heating up. ;).

I'm kinda expecting a climatic GODZILLA VS KONG moment where Mecha HG has disarmed Hula-Girl and is about to administer the coup de grâce...

(Cue Hang-Time leaping onto the back of Mecha HG and ineffectually beats on the robotic doppelgänger's head with HG's spear... Mecha HG just turns and glares at Hula-Girl's monkey companion, who unsurprisingly chickens-outs and runs away into the jungle... With the spear)

That would be just too good, especially Hangtime running off with her spear. XD
Not quite what I have in mind, especially since I'm limited to two chars in these Patreon pictures, but I might just keep this in mind for some chibi spinoff pictures perhaps. And that certainly does show Hangtime's typical usefulness to Hula Girl. ;)

I will say. Ultron knows how to dress, look, and play the part 😂. But seriously though, really impressed to see what Mecha Hula Girl is capable of ;). But I am also very impressed that even when with the rocket boosters, Hula Girl is still holding her ground. Really amazing :D
