As she laid her hands upon the dragons head, she felt its loneliness, its sadness. It told her how it had been chased away by people who tought it was a monster when it was only asking if the villagers needed any help.
She caressed his head and let her feelings free, letting the dragon know she wasn't afraid. She was happy to see it and would gladly be his friend, only thing is, she was born without speech. Her entire life she couldn't speak and she hoped the dragon would understand this.
He nodded his head and smiled, this made their mental connection stronger.
