Hoo! Yesterday was a friend's birthday and that seemed like a good reason to doodle something I'd been meaning to. A bit part of last year was Animal Crossing New Horizon's update! It got a lot of us back into Animal Crossing for about a month or so. And it's when I started getting into Blathers and another little Animal Crossing community. :3 This friend linked me to this catchy little song for Blathers called, "These Hallowed Wings" and it just really helped launch me more into the persona. A cute jingle, a new fun human friend among all the other animals around - lots of fun, silly memories. Relating with Blathers has been a hoot, and what brought me to be more like Owlnard as of late, so in Clara / Opal Rose's honor, I figured I'd draw a little thank you like this. I had it in mind for a bit, but, when a birthday is around, I don't mind squeezing in a little art for it if I can, and it was the final push to finally draw something memorable with us. Hoo!

Visual Description:
A colored picture of sunset on the docks, the sky is pink, orange, and yellow, with water that's green, blue, and purple, as Blathers the brown museum owl, and his friend Clara (a human in Animal Crossing style, with pink hair, and pink cat ears and tail) are both sitting side by side on the brown wooden docks going into the ocean, smiling at one another. Fairly simple, but a bit more colorful!

'Hoo' delightful! Getting to hear more about what made you create 'Owlnard' is super-special awesome! I'd go as far as to add how I got quite the feels from what you managed to portray in this image along with your description.
***
The setting at the docks looking out towards the ocean can have multiple interpretations. First would be showing support for someone who may be preparing for a new chapter in their lives. The setting itself being that ending, or beginning, of something new and unknown with the pier and a pal ensuring they are not alone in their journey.
The next would be taking in how wonderful times have been since having gotten so acquainted with a great pal / kindred spirit. The dock where they stand serving as a private moment where the two are able to just let their feelings free between each other. The The ocean beyond helping to portray how, together, they know they can handle any unknown that may come their way in the future.
***
Other examples are variants on the two above. I just like the happy vibes this work gave me. Nicely done, Oxnard. :)

Aww hehe, that all sounds right to me! :3 There're lots of nice spots where sittin' and hanging out with someone one-on-one can be nice and feel all close and cozy. :3 But a dock and ocean and sunset all have their lil feelings too! It is funny how different times of day and color can all do that kinda thing but it certainly makes sense!
Yep, yep, yep! *Snugs*
The best example I have from your work are the two versions of 'Paint The Night Sky' you drew. The way Oxnard reached confidently up towards the sky as a rainbow of colors trailedto show the motion of his paw towards the heavens really hit me like a Yoshi Egg to the noggin'.
To avoid getting too quacky, I started to find all of your Ocs, like Sotelo, Fuxie, and Cooni, in the posts you made where each would be seen over a flat colored background. Between the paintbrush of Oxnard, the 'Rainbow of...' series you did at the time, and finding your OCs showing themselves in those single-color filled background boxes truly sparked the start of 'Further Realms' and the 'Creative Campaign'. Truly, to this day, it is the greatest personal success and epic failure I've ever had. Success in seeing just how much I could do if allowed to bring pals and their characters into a story while not being all scared about nitpicky things and such. Failure in how, to this day, I think less than a handful of people have read through the whole thing. *Shrugs*
*Eskimo kisses your hiffer* I focus more on the 'success' part. Especially after you created that very special, last page in the original 'Creative Campaign' book you made. Yosh 2.0 was hatched that day and I've delighted in the ongoing bursts to be more creative and less worried about success.
And, in the end, it all started with just an adorable ham-Ham being, as he is to all his friends, 'A Rainbow In The dark'. :)

Aww hehe, it's always really nice and neat how our different works and stories stick with each other! You've done tons of cool and fun stories and world building too! Or even lil one-offs like your hamster romance story seemed cute. :3 And a lot of us are all for your lil magic foxy gal to get a more standard story out there for herself one day too!
And aw, it's best to focus on the positives, it's cool you made a big story series and stuck with it to the end, included tons of references and friends. It sure is a weird feeling how people wanna be included in things, but then when it's in a story it's like, they might not want to actually read it... haha. Gosh, writing sure has a hard time!
I'm in a similar funk with Boxer Beats not updating in half a year. Even if it's only up to Foxie's story, the 3rd one, and I already have 11 others written or so? But... it feels a little pointless posting them since I never get feedback or commentary on it. But it's also on me for being slow and sorta uninspired to draw for it. I love the story and think on it a lot but I guess I just don't feel up to drawing thumbnails... and I just really don't think a story will do well without those. Or doing the same one for each chapter would be repetitive... that and balancing how much is too long or short per post... I heard some people who like reading might wanna do it all at once... I definitely scrooched up somewhere. So, I'd rather figure out what's best before continuing to post all I've done, and finish writing the second half I had planned. I do know a few folks usually read them, or even felt bad when they noticed I felt like stopping due to feedback. It's also a lil tough with Furaffinity being a lil emptier, and twitter not being writing or linking-friendly. Anyway! Woops, a tangent, writing might always be at a bit of a disadvantage, but I think we can still be really happy knowing we can make some great stories, even if just a few folks read it, or uh parts of it, haha!

*Nods* All good points. Writing and art both require quite a personal commitment and dedication to create and share. People just tend to not have time to read all the words compared to being able to 'Window Shop' with arts. I think a lot of people either just look at the art, click [+ Favorite], and move on. If they do leave a comment, it is maybe a single sentence that doesn't much provide any feedback beyond the degree of how 'Aesthetically Pleasing' it is.

I need to read the chapters of 'Boxer Beats' I have fallen back on reading. I have them ready to read and RL just just keeps getting in the way. *Sighs*
