''Dark Ice Cave'' by LaytheDiaperedWhiteWolf
A picture I did last Friday at Daniël's office! It depicts a mysterious underground cavern with a small but strong river flowing through, carving out its path over millions of years. A few lonely bats made this place their home, and they like to hunt for smaller creatures, like insects that are hiding from the bright sunlight that is plaguing them outside on the frozen surface. Since we're on that topic now -- you may have heard about the sunlight being reflected by the bright white color of all the snow of the Arctic? Well; this very cave provides a safe and convenient hideout for those who cannot stand the burning light of the sun, which is present on the Arctic even at night! The dripping sounds coming from the numerous stalactites down here, are constantly echoing through these bone-chilling caverns. The ONLY other sounds you'll occasionally hear when traversing these caves, are the constant flowing of the cold water the underground river consists of; and the occasional squeaking and wing-flapping noises of the small colony of bats that made this place of slow cold death their home.

Thanx, Lux! I worked hard on it, but I got it done. Namely I was worried about not getting the drawing finished before I had to head home that Friday, but I did finish it regardless of how much work I put into it. While I was wondering what I should draw, we were listening to the Santalune Forest theme from X & Y -- a theme that also plays in the background of Frost Cavern, among other locations. So that cemented my decision to draw an ice cave, or at least a cave.
