Penelope snuck inside a house of a fishmonger one day. The door was left unlocked and ajar by accident. She hopes that the fishmonger might've had fish inside the humble domain, so she made sure to creep inside without leaving any prints behind. Before she heads to the kitchen, she found a strange model of a washing machine from the early 20th Century. She had no idea why anyone would use this kind of model nowadays.

Surely enough, she finally reached the kitchen and decided to investigate the fridge to see if there were any fish inside. Little did she know, two mice were spying on her from the mousehole. They looked at each other, grinning deviously. There was something going on in their sneaky heads. The mice put their plan into action by scurrying to the living room. Because the washing machine was right next to a drawer, there was a box of soapy detergent near the edge. The machine was already opened and there was already water inside. Without too much effort, the mice shoved the box off the drawer and it splashed inside the machine. Once that was done, they give each other a nod. The gray mouse decided to get Penelope’s attention.

While the cat was still rummaging inside, she suddenly heard a whistle. She turned to where it was and there, she saw a gray mouse, waving at her from the doorway. The cat licked her lips, exposing her claws. The gray one disappeared into the living room while Penelope ran after it. She looked around, trying to find her prey. She heard the same whistle and this time, when she found the source of the sound, she spotted both the gray one and a brown one. They were both standing on the rim of the machine. They made faces at her and even stick their tongues out. The cat got into position before making a massive jump.

While she was zooming towards them, the mice jumped out of the way. It was only a few seconds when Penelope realized what she was really jumping into. She tried to stop herself, but it was too late. With a great, big splash, the lid of the machine closed onto her. One of the mice managed to turn on the button and that’s when the machine starts to function.

With the entire box of detergent inside with Penelope, all that shaking, and pumping was creating a lot of bubbles. In fact, it was so bubbly that the cat got swallowed by a mass of white foam. The cat yowled and gurgled, crying for help. The mice eventually got back on top of the drawer and hopped onto a button that unlocks the lid. With the lid open and the machine still on, a massive pile of suds bubbled out. Just then, coming out of the mass was a gigantic bubble. Inside the bubble was none other than Penelope, who found herself trapped inside. While she hovers helplessly away from the machine, the mice laugh at her misfortune.

How on Earth will she get out of this mess now?
