Another burst of inspiration while chatting with friends on Discord, brought to life by

So Roselyn was originally supposed to be the nanny for Trace and Saria's baby before Saria was killed by a wolf keidran thief. And by right she should have a second chance with Trace and Flora's baby given her extended lifespan. However... she can't go with them to Lyn'knoll. But in my story, she can at least stay in touch with them, even while the UNAF (UN Armed Forces) temporarily take ownership of Trace's estate to be used as a regional command post - and place the heart of the estate, her, in command! (After a little additional education and training of sorts, and pulling a few strings in high command). So while she can't physically be there when Rory is born, she can at least get to know him and bond with him via holo chat set up in the estate's nursery. At times the two would talk about how much they want to meet each other, patiently waiting for years for the opportunity to come to finally meet face to face.

Turns out, that chance would come at a surprisingly odd time. When war broke out in Mekkan, the UNAF and KTR would both find themselves in a mutual struggle against the Templar Order and it's puppet government in the Greater Human Empire. Rory, after being retrained as a tank commander and placed in the Republic's elite vanguard tank company, is assigned with his unit to help relieve and reinforce UNAF forces under siege in the Edinmire area. He is in awe at his father's estate of years past, when he was Duke of Edinmire, before remembering who in particular still lives there. As they arrive to park their tanks in the terrace, Rory takes the opportunity to head inside. Needless to say, she was not expecting to see him there and then of all times. But it was still a long overdue meeting of family all the same ❤️

"Commander Roselyn?"
"Yes? ... Heh, lieutenant Legacy. I thought I saw you out there. What are you here for?"
"We were ordered to help defend the UN CP. gods, dad actually lived here...? *Ahem* But that's uh, not why I wanted to speak with you. Ma'am."
"Oh? I'm listening, lieutenant."
"... Hi, nanny~...!" *embraces her*
"... Hah... hahaha... It's so good to finally meet you... Aurora...~! You have no idea how long I've waited for this moment..." ❤️
"Actually... I do. Mom and dad and auntie Raine told me everything... They wanted me to send their love - and wanted me to give you another one of these for them~...!" *hugs her even tighter*
