A New Challenger Has Appeared! (Pokemon Unite Commission)
Well ain't this a creature weekend! Tomorrow is Pokemon Day, and TODAY is Digimon Con! Hmm...these two 'franchises' have been knocking against each other a bit too often. Though, I guess this is Digimon getting one over Pokemon for the whole 'Gigamaxing' thing heh.
I don't know the appeal of competitive fighting games, though I think things like League of Legends and Smash Bros have an appeal mostly through individual characters. And I think that's what Unite wants to do with Pokemon. The problem though...there is SO MANY OF THEM. There's like, what, 800 at least now? That's a LOT! And people have their favorites of course. Granted, Unite's not even been out a year yet, and they're up to 32...so who knows, maybe they'll get to that awesome point where EVERY Pokemon can be playable in it...now that would be cool.
...so long as ones like Mew aren't at those 'special event' things...Kingdom Hearts just broke me completely on those things with their hotel and little box...
Oh! Anyway, right! Unite! Well, don't play it myself, but like any Pokemon game, can see the appeal. But, somebody wanted to see a Digimon in the ring, and not only that, wearing a spiffy looking halloween costume for the Lucario competitor that, actually, I recognize! It's the outfit worn by Riley, the guy who first uses a Lucario in....one of the Pokemon games somewhere, who gives you an egg that will eventually lead to your own! But this Digi is a lighter blue fighter with an even harder head than Lucario, and think he has the brawl to bring to this competition!
......huh...why does this guy look familiar? Didn't we have...some kind of intruder sometime back that....? Hey! Az! Buddy...can I talk to you for a sec? I really feel like seen this guy before.....
