Some quick character design training i made at 2 am last night while talking about dnd with some friends and I couldn't let them die like that in the Aether. I prob won't do anything more with them though. Of course as I am myself i wrote some trivia about them
---
Arthur and Labyrinth met when Arthur beat Labyrinth's dungeon. He was the first one, but instead of destroying his core, destroying Labyrinth and the dungeon, he licked it because it looked like a candy.
Labyrinth fell in love because he was the first human to make him laugh and because he's hot, and Arthur fell in love because he was the first one to let him cry. And because Labyrinth is hot.
Other humans think of Arthur as a fallen, traitorous Hero, but he is the only one keeping Labyrinth from basically conquering the world and being an overall huge jerk.
Labyrinth's body is physical, but his existence is attached to his core. He controls the dungeon with his unholy power, but it got a whole lot nicer and less "function first, looks second" since Arthur's arrival. (basically it's a lot cooler now, in a kid sense of coolness)
Gremlin was a goblin that lost her way into the dungeon. Arthur took pity on her and saved her and trained her. At first Labyrinth took care of Gremlin as a joke, as if it was another of Arthur's joke. But slowly he grew attached to her and taught her some nasty magick.
Gremlin is very accident-prone, and lost her eye and arm before meeting them. Thanksfully Labyrinth's magick can heal her. He is trying to learn more holy magick in order to try and regenerate her limbs, but unbeknownst to both her and Arthur, because of his unholy nature, using holy magick tears him up every time he uses it.
Arthur tried to learn holy magick, but is too much of a dunce for it, despite having an incredible pool of mana.
Gremlin loves Arthur very much, but is rather caught offguard by Labyrinth's stern and emotionless nature, and wonder why his adoptive father fell in love with that thing.
Still she loves her new home and parents, and as a monster she is fed by the Labyrinth's power, helping her grow in power at incredible speed. She helps maintain the dungeon and often fights intruders, but most of the times sneakily as Arthur doesn't want her to get hurt.
Arthur often kidnaps her to go play dolls or wear cute dresses and do girly stuff, but she has become a master of sneaks and can easily slip out unoticed. Labyrinth always keep an eye on her, and often shifts the dungeon around to help her escape, or keep her from trouble. Often leading her back into one of Arthur's hug from which she never managed to escape.
