AUTHOR’S NOTE:
[i]Lanny has spent many years developing what has been lovingly called ‘[i]The Lannyverse[/b]’. It has a very rich history that could easily be considered Historical Fiction for the late 19th century to modern day.
If you have interest in seeing how reality can align with a well-researched fictional setting that is loaded with actual cultural references from around the world, I invite you to head on over to his gallery and take in one of the most developed worlds based after the people, places, and time periods in which influence the citizens of fictional big cities and small towns throughout Earth in ‘The Lannyverse’.
This is a scene of Lucca and Yosh as they pay a visit to the fictional city of Pacific Coast, California. The city has a lot of Asian / Pacific influence with a very turbulent past that gave way to the East Asian immigrants unifying under the leadership of a family / house that refused to allow Pacific Coast to become nothing more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Members of the family / house who saved Pacific Coast and its citizens still hold prominent positions within various areas of State and Local government. Honoring those who set the standards for Pacific Coast during the early 1900s keeps members of the family / house respectful of the great responsibility they assume if elected to act on behalf of its citizens.
Lucca and Yosh are very happy to have made time to visit a city so full of history in which shines as a beacon of hope to immigrants seeking salvation from war-torn nations, corrupt governments, famine, and other horrors that the city and its people strive to prove can be overcome by encouraging peace, democracy, individual contribution towards the greater whole, and pride in knowing many cultures can come together towards a greater good instead of being trapped by prejudice, bigotry, self-service, and not forgetting the bravery shown by the family / house that defied all odds to make a safe home for all who resided within Pacific Coast, CA.
Given the immense amount of culture, history, and other inspiring aspects of Pacific Coast, CA, Lucca and Yosh put on their most absorbent diapers, packed extra pamps into their backpack, and took in all they could each day of their visit. Potty breaks take away from catching busses, being on time for guided tours, etc. With beyond-belief odor control for urinary incontinence, Lucca and Yosh confidently make their way to their next destination knowing that the city is also one that is accepting of diversity and what may be needed in order to be a part of Pacific Coast without bringing harm to themselves and others they may interact with both directly and indirectly.

This turned out neat! The art is cool and it has a cool backstory. It does look kinda like the cities here with extra tall building areas but maybe more grass and plant areas than New York. Kinda more space and air and still flat on the ground and not too polluted. Trying to figure out what exactly gives it that vibe.
Either way! Heading to a place you can avoid discrimination and troubles sounds nice! And heck, with how awful our current world has gotten, especially in regard to transgender people, I wish there were more places like this folks could go to in order to live happier lives. Yosh already had it tough as a hybrid. Unique looking art! More focus on the two traveling somewhere than your typical close up furry art.

*Snugs* Thank you very much for taking the time to look this over, Oxnard. I hope it is showing that I am making stories / descriptions less wordy and more enjoyable.

Thanks to Lanny, I have a place where Yosh's momma and dada grew up and had to move from in order to be happily married. The location does not have a name yet, but it is a state in the south in which has experienced a lot of economic depression due to work moving to more urban regions.
(My parents actually grew up in a coal mining town that started to become economically depressed around the time I was born. As the years went by, houses started to get reclaimed by nature and abandoned trucks could be found while hiking through the woods. The city Lanny created, which is Duckers and Mellony's hometown, had abandoned buildings, vehicles, and overgrowth in places that had once been used by people. I put my RL with this concept and, voila!, Yosh's extended family has a fleshed out home.).

The illustration is really nice I have to say. It not only shows a city full of big buildings and a lot of businesses and activities, but also the scale of the characters make them clearly look like a bit exceed by the size of the place. They are into a place full of possibilities, but at the same time they're probably too small to handle every situation that is in front.
I don't know why, but this scenario reminds me a lot an interesting side story of the Yo-Kai Watch TV show / anime where two Yo-kai explored what I guess is Tokyo, looking for a new life, and they are of course completely lost into a place full of confusing stuff and humans five times bigger than them. I don't know, I liked how silly and curious was their story.

Thanks for giving this picture by Lanny a look, Sweetie. Hearing what you see in it genuinely improves upon the image I had in my imagination from previous descriptions that were given to me.

I apologize for not catching up on any of your posts. The job search really took a lot of me with respect to my mental health. To help me recover from the depression I have been feeling, I have dedicated more time than I expected to doing story commissions. (This is the first time in all 14 years I have been on FA when I had a full queue of 5 active projects in which I am being paid to do. I want to do what i can to keep it going as finishing 5 commissions per week, at minimum, would allow me to be okay with money. I may also be able to get freelance writing to be seen as my career, which would make the bank my house is mortgaged through able to allow me to remove my mother from being responsible as the co-signer.).
