Orchid is an explorer through and through, but there are times when even she has to return home and recharge. Here we find her chilling on one of many open patios found on the rooftops of New Atlantis' structures, watching the sights as the evening progresses. She's apparently fresh off a recent expedition, as she's still wearing some of her field gear, but she hasn't yet bothered to take them off. It isn't like she's in any hurry to be anywhere, since her latest findings are now in the paws of the research councils. Now it's time to relax...
In the background, we see one of the "spines" running along the upper sections of the city. Basically they're enormous bridge-like structures that contain micro-habitats that the research councils use in their studies. Some of them double as living arcologies for various citizens. In the trees, one may notice a few glimmering sprites that still hang around the city. Those who have read Orchid's story The Scout may recognize those...

Ah yeah, scouts typically explore the wilds in the nude in order to maintain ease of movement and prevent clothing from being snagged, but in the city it's typical for a lot of folks to wear some sort of clothing/covering as a way of decorating their bodies and expressing themselves. Orchid has a thing for halter tops ^_^
