The ambassador (Gift by Pandoji) (by LiveNLove7)
Over time, the peaceful princedom of Valmeridia has made various alliances with near and distant kingdoms.
While most of them ensure non-belligerence pacts, some have instead been established to ensure commercial and cultural exchanges.
Certainly the manner of Prince Borgon attracted the attention of several members of the noble class,
especially for his tendency to treat his subjects almost as his equals.
It therefore often happens that someone visits castle della Verbena not for tourist reasons, but to have a talk with the dragon prince and maybe get some useful advice from him.
That day in June, an elegant dragoness appears at the castle.
Silva welcomes her as often in the best possible way, and listens to the latter's request to have a hearing with the prince himself.
Borgon is surprised to be faced with such a tall dragoness. Often used to looking at others from top to bottom,
he finds himself that day instead having to keep his head slightly tilted upwards to be able to look his guest in the eyes.
Henrietta, this is the name of the lady, comes from a very distant kingdom,
where only in recent times have good relations been established between the various creatures that live there.
She is still a fledgling ambassador, and is in doubt about how to behave.
Borgon sees in her eyes the same concern that harbored in his own the day the young dragon was crowned prince.
And so, after having offered her some refreshment, the two set off for the large garden inside the walls.
The dragon listens to his guest calmly and patiently, trying to put himself in her own shoes,
and only after having clear the situation does he dare to comment on it.
In fact, perhaps Silva would have been the most suitable to talk about diplomacy at that juncture.
But the reason Borgon decides to take charge of it is because of the peculiar power that Henrietta possesses.
In fact, even the dragoness seems to have healing abilities, and this in her case is an innate power and therefore proper to her body.
In short, Henrietta seems to have all the credentials to be a respectable ambassador.
Parting his lips, Borgon begins to talk to her and answers all her doubts, but he makes sure to give her only useful suggestions,
reminding her that the path of righteousness (as a certain hare of his acquaintance would say) passes through a tortuous path that is not the same for everyone.
Henrietta will have to make the decisions she judges correct, and fully understand what it really means to be the tip of the balance and a support for her people.
But Borgon has no doubts: that strong-bodied but kind-mannered dragoness will undoubtedly become an excellent ambassador!Looks like the season of gifts is early this year ^^
