This reminds me of a Steven Universe episode where Lion exposes his belly to lure Steven into rubbing it, only to end up grabbing hold of Steven into an embrace. Unaware of Lion’s attention, Steven commented about the scenario being an adorable trap.

In other words, the legendary beast is in a being-a-playful-goofball mood and wants to trap his “victim” into a snuggly embrace while pressing their head against his chest fluff. (>///w///<)
