Another reason why being mortal is great

I want to know if they are going to get married and have kids.

Would explain a lot of sense why Immortal envies the mortal lives. The Mortal sure knows how to live the moment.

Hmm. Wonder if other senses would become dull due to being immortal? I would think pain would be the first one so that you can tank more damage, or at least endure longer before you pass out. Would increase your odds of survival in a fight, but also might dull your sense of touch in subtle ways. Like not feeling hot or cold as sharply.

There's trade-offs to just about everything. I suppose becoming immortal would mean changing your biology in ways you wouldn't expect.
