A later model Sukeutese Fw-506, outfitted for carrier operations. The carrier model sported a second seat for a RIO in addition to the very necessary tail hook. A fairly basic fighter craft of the period.

This specific aircraft was shot down in an incident, leading to it’s pilot and RIO to be sent to a penal unit. As the pair had recklessly engaged a neutral patrol, defying orders to return to the carrier. The ensuing dogfight resulted in two aircraft being downed. One of the neutral flight (two Kator F-5s) and their fighter. All four aircrew survived the incident.
