While I may not be religious I think most of us can agree when it comes to dogs their relationship with humans goes beyond mere companionship for the sake of survival. This poem was inspired by my dog Geb who decided to sleep next to me while I was waiting for my computer to restart and gave me something to do. I'm very glad I did this.
