Here is a charcoal scoop I have made to allow me to shovel in about 2 double handfuls worth of charcoal into the forge.
Keeps my hands clean and allows me to get the fuel into the hearth easier than using my hands.
This scoop is made from the following: Sheet metal from an old beat up metal pull behind trailer, a piece of rebar, a leg of a table (Beech), CO2 canister end and five Grip Rite 1-1/4" "Joist hanger" nails.
I like the fact that this covers 3 different procedures: Sheet metal work, blacksmithing, and wood working
