(19.01.20) Duesenberg revival boattail coupe
same as the previous upload but as a revival of the Figoni boattail speedster in black and red, except turned into a hardtop reminiscent of the Buick Riviera boattail and Corvette C2 split window coupe
i think it makes for a spectacularly menacing and classy look
and yes, it's a V8 now

Awesome concept for reviving one of my favorite defunct automakers! This is way, way better than the rediculous new Bugatti supercars that have more horsepower than necessary and cost $20,000 just for spark plug change! I used to doodle dream cars very close to your designs when I was a teen in the '80s. I wonder what a 2020s version of this would look like(without straying too for from this)?
thank you so much!! ahh ❤️❤️❤️
I've become obsessed with neoclassicism in auto design, though not the Mercedes SSK kit and Excalibur kind of kitschy classic revivals but rather stuff like Virgil Exner's revival cars. I did actually work on a different version of a 60s Duesenberg revival car albeit much more concept car looking rather than basing it off existing production car trends at the time as is the case with this.
I did try doing some sketches for a modern day Duesenberg revival design long ago but they weren't really working out LOL, I'm much more adept at designs prior to 2000
