A screenshot I took on Hero Forge of Rhythm Lion and Rhythm Rat, together. Both are percussion prodigies with a Ph.D. in music, and teach at the prestigious BMA, or Battlefield Music Academy, a school said to be so hard to get into it makes other elite music schools such as Julliard and Berklee pale in comparison.
The lion's real name is Dr. Leonardo Williams, Ph.D., who also had military experience for the U.S. Army both in combat and as a musician. The rat's real name is Dr. Arthur Pendergraf, Ph.D., although he doesn't have any military experience, but he is disciplined as one can be, and has been best friends with Leonardo ever since obtaining his doctorate.
Although neither of these animals are Drumbums, CNG had given them all the qualities of a Drumbum; it boosted their musical ability to the level of the Forsythians, said to be "beyond professional," and they now the have physical physique of a bodybuilder. Shortly after this happened, Roger J. Raticus, the Snare Soldier, graciously offered to train them in the ways of a Drumbum, and often considers Rhythm Rat his American equivalent. "That was so kind of him to say that," the rat commented. "The Snare Soldier may be a bit eccentric given he likes to play his drums in just his swimwear, and he had Leonardo and I do that a few times, but he's a big hero of his homeland, Ratatat, and he's shown how only people of such strength like him can be humble, not proud, for he does not go around showing how great he is. I'm happy to call him my friend; he's like a brother to me."
Both animals also train others to act as drum majors for the marching band, various forms of a drum corps, and frequently wear drum major uniforms themselves in when teaching, even though they're always padding (going barefoot). Although never a Marine, Leonardo's uniform is modeled after those in the U.S. Marine Corps Band, celebrating his military heritage. Arthur, by contrast, tends to wear the generic style of uniforms often associated with a big top circus.
The blue and orange suit-and-tie combinations represent the school colors.
