Some people don't know this, but Pikachus are omnivorous, and will often times deliver several, low-grade shocks to their prey while eating. The shocks are not enough to cause physical harm to the prey, but high enough to disrupt the prey's movement, making them easier to ingest. Why pikachus sometimes continue to shock their prey, even after swallowing, is unknown, but some scientists believe it is either a sign of dominance, or that it is even a tempt to taunt their prey.
