Following my Vent Comic with my Vent OC Rage I started a ref sheet for him. I never got around to figuring out his color scheme so it was a good idea to get on that.
I originally in my head always pictured the green of his eyes to actually be yellow and orange but I didn't like how it actually looked in his final colors, so I was changing the hue in a filter to every color and Green just popped out the best to suit him. I very much liked how it made his red Iris pop more.

And I couldn't decide on a red shirt and boots or just a white version so I didn't. I chose both, the white can symbolize when he's pretty chill and just being mischievous and harmless. But the RED can be when he's really riled up and ready to throw some heat!!
But it can just be a fashion choice too depending on what he prefers.

Color theory is crazy yo! At first I thought his fur was too dark to see it's a very dark red, it looks pretty much black in just black and white, but then when you add colors to his eyes and or clothes it really pops out!.

Saw a video of someone demonstrating it with a Sailor Moon art piece they were doing and they were getting the exact colors from a an anime clip reference and when they did her skin it was dark, almost like a tan! Then they added the rest of her colors and BAM! White skin!! It was so cool and interesting lol

Anywhays, Rage is a Vent OC, witch means I always picture him or use him to vent out my frustrations and Anger with anything rather frustrating or annoying or rage inducing. Unjustly laws or arrests or releases of major crimes or criminals who only get a slap on the wrists, racism, sexism, helpless people being hurt or mistreated or used or ignored by more powerful greedy delusional of reality monsters!! Poor treatment of animals, kids, and nature, mean people in general, Karens and Kens/Kevins, Creepy stalkers/harassers, just anything and everything that's bad and evil and you feel helpless or don't wanna risk jail time to stop it/them.

I honestly think it's good to have a Vent OC, it's therapeutic to have something/someone to help get your anger and frustration out with or for you. And it's art so it can't physically hurt anyone or thing.

There's actually a Series of art work I want to eventually do called "Fuck's To Give" lol where it's just RAGE yelling FUCK YOU! to bad people and characters from real world or fictional worlds in different ways and different levels of intensity lol Sort of Loony Tunes style.
