New Style! Magical Girl Buni Teaser!
So, I hope you guys like this picture... Because I'm pretty sure, this is what you're stuck with from now on. XD I have combined the new vector inking I learned with a new soft shading... I've cut the time (and hand pain) it takes down quite a bit. Mind you, I'm still playing with my digital coloring skills...
I've come up with something I'm really happy with, here, guys. Really happy. I've been working on digital coloring very hard, and I'm thrilled with my projects. I know commissions have been slow in production, but that's because I stopped them all at the sketch stage so I could flesh out all these test pictures...
So, everyone who's waiting for commission, they will done like this unless you request they're done with traditional mediums.
Also... This picture is a teaser for a project I'm working on. A big project. A HUGE project. The biggest project I've ever worked on. So excited. *squeals*
If you guys have any coloring tips, lay 'em on me. While I'm really happy with what I have accomplished so far, I'm always looking to learn more. Especially about shading! I really need help in the shading area.
Oh, yeah, also, this is a Magical Girl outfit, in case you were curious. ^.^

This is just awesome tuggy! I may say that a lot but I mean it just as much now as I have before! This project of yours is going to be insanely epic I just know it!
Idea on the boots though if you don't mind. The ballet boots in second life, those incredibly painful looking torture devices people force their avatars to wear? They are the right angle to fit digitigrade feet I think. Just a little widening out for the toes and replace the stiletto heel with a solid block of base and there you go. Might be worth a try I think =]

Hey, you, where are you! XD Get on Skype! <3
And I've been running through ideas on the boots. I think I'll probably just keep her shoeless, with ribbons on her ankles like the ones on her wrists.
Because I always thought digitgrade shoes look kind of silly. x3

It is, in a word, beautiful! You havr really boosted your digital skills in a relatively short time, and now your new creations look almost identical to your traditional work. If I were going to complain about anything it'd be that the long boots cover up so many of your stripes! Buni is the reighning queen of lovely stripes and too many of them lost behind any costume is... well, not the end of the world, 'cause I know they're still there, but... O_o But other than that, woo hoo! Buni was already magic, now she's got the uniform to prove it!
Ah! Thank you so much, Gene. <3 I'm thinking of giving her ribbons around the ankles like her wrists instead of boots.
Also, I wanted to ask your opinion... Do her hands look okay? You're the master of.... Well, what I call the "Gene Catlow take on black" x3 Any hints you can give with using the white lines?

*chuckle* Given the name of it, I'm quite honored to be the master of it! ^_^ Buni's hands look perfect in your pic, and I'm glad you're putting emphasis on hands and the way they look. That's one of the best indicators of emotions and personality in a character, how the hands look. For my own white-line efforts, if I have a certain thickness of line for a character in an image, I try to use a slightly thicker line when creating the lines that will be white within the black areas. That makes the lines stand out that much clearer when the pic's done (especially if the image will be reduced). Not *too* much thicker than the rest, but a little bit. :)
Thank you!
This will be the style your commission is done in. I've got the sketches all laid out, I just need to scan them and get the digital work on them done. And I've been having the computer trouble, so scanning have been a pain in the butt. <3
But I'm glad you like it!
