Lay & Leather ''Falling Stars'' [Paint 3D] 🦇
posted 3 years ago Writer,Gamer,DL and Tropenboy
I have done several works featuring probably my favorite character the Long-Eared Bat, Leather. Which made me wonder -- What if I turned into one, too?
So I made this picture featuring the two of us, exploring an abandoned castle at midnight, watching some falling stars behind some bushes, and resting inside a dark, hollow castle tower that's peeping out above the fortress ~juuust~ high enough for us to get a view of the drawbridge and the moat surrounding the ruins.
-- I'll admit, I did have a bit of trouble drawing Leather this time, as you can see. I don't think I will ever be able to top my art of him as seen in ''Mine Shine!'' I posted exactly two months ago according to the date below that picture. An argument could be made for Leather being a bit younger compared to his look in Mine Shine, but even disregarding that, I think I could've done his design in Falling Stars just a bit better... As for his iconic scar on his left wing -- I think the encounter with the Vampire Hunter in that black-and-white pencil drawing (which BTW was Leather's first ever appearance), didn't happen yet. My guess is that the Falling Stars picture event takes place between ''Cavern Catastrophe'' and ''The Wounded Bat'', which was Leather's first appearance.
