Meet Alma Torres, Mexican fox squirrel, daughter of a car mechanic that immigrated from Mexico, and also a (formerly) sleeper android.
One of my characters I use for roleplay that I've slowly been building up her story.
Basically she was made in the image and programmed to act just how the actual Alma Torres would have. The original squirrel girl unfortunately died of medical complications at the young age of nine, leaving behind her now grief stricken father.
A friend of her father, who works for robotics company, thought the best idea was to build a synthetic replica of her, not the best plan but desperation makes people act without thinking straight. So several months of programming and construction later they had made it, a robotic double of Alma.
Whole thing was kept as a secret, so only her father and his friend (and his co-workers who also worked in the project) knew the truth about everything, for everyone else she was a normal and curious little girl. She went on living a normal life like everyone else, oblivious of what she really was.
Things as normal as they could, friends, hobbies, she learned her father's trade, quinceañeras. Of course she "aged" like one could expect, that was achieved by every couple years transferring her AI and data to a new frame that fits better her corresponding age, currently she's in her mid-to-late-20's since she'd be 28 years now.
She has a few small quirks, like that she can't leave the city or go to a hospital, she gets panic attacks whenever she's tried either of those, the former thinking it's some phobia about leaver her home and everything she knows, and the later a general repulsion to hospitals after having spent most of her childhood in them due to her health problems. In actuality those are hard coded traits to keep her protected and prevent the truth about her from being discovered. She'll also idle when left alone without anything to do for long times, like, one free day she had she spent it on a couch, just sitting there from morning till the evening, only snapping out thanks to a telemarketer call that made her realize what time it was.
Alma currently works in her father's mechanic shop, being the sole worker and owner after her father passed away couple years ago. She also runs her dad's "side business" which is a clandestine android repair shop in their basement, a no questions asked kinda deal where they just go in, get whatever repair or modifications they want, and then leave. Her father started it to be able to afford her medical bills.
Ironically, she often prefer the company of androids than humans or other anthros, she feels more at ease with them. She feels captivated by their mechanical forms, how everything is purposefully made to serve a specific function that lets them move, talk, and live. She finds a beauty on how they're who they are, figuring out how they were made, how to optimize them and what not.
Think I've been rambling for long enough but this might cover the basics of her, feel free to ask any questions about her.

Hi, thanks for the comment. Androids in the universe are considered property, they're either owned by someone or have been discarded like trash, even she has a the legal paperwork (redacted in such way it is not explicit what the "item" in question is) saying she's owned, first by her father and after he passed away by the family friend that constructed her. I'm pretty sure it's actually illegal to try and have a dead relative replaced by an android, or at least not something that's well seen, so there is that, lying to the government by saying she's the real flesh and blood Alma, having as an android that was made with the explicit purpose of passing off as a living being among probably other things that'll land everyone involved in deep boiling waters if the truth comes out.
No the average person shouldn't be able to tell she's a robot, at least that's what they hope. And indeed if someone wanted to test they'd discover what she is, that's why the programmed phobia of hospitals and leaving the city, to try and limit those situations. Also surely they got contingency plans in case things go wrong
Absolutely, she got all that built in given she's meant to mimic real people, she can even "bleed", tho what comes out is actually a mixture of cooling-lubricant fluid and nanobots that will repair any minor damage (cuts and stuff), colored red for the sake of blending in, do not consume
