TF Not Included 10 - Lizard Concerns
Scamp gets at least part of the way into our base, as we meet, greet, and examine the travesty that is the main shaft. Space potatoes are discussed, and Art prepares to transform a frozen waterworks engineer into some sort of lizard.
The slime is by
tsubasa9940!
The tove is by
seely, who seems to have booped their account. This is a VERY old picture, back from seel-dingo on deviantArt in the day.
The quetz are by
hhazard, and the quetz in question are from the finished webcomic Skybox! It has TF in it.
Votes: Pyotr Race(Slime, Tove, Quetz, Itemize), Germ Level 2(Good Art, Colonist Scan, Roomba), Colony Action(Space Dock, Feral Caverns Exploration, Elevator Recovery Mission, Maintenance).
Phew! This week has been ups and downs. Got a major client at work(half-time for the next 24 weeks), and also had my internet cut out by bastards at the isp. Yes I paid them. No they had not gotten my payments. Yes my name was wrong on the account and did not match my credit card. asdfasdfadsf
Thank you to the quick help from the community who kept me able to continue working! This weekend is YCH stories, as I've basically finished up the previous bit of client work I had(take THAT, bugs!).

Pyotr: Tove. This sounds like the best all-around option. Water magic, nimbleness and strength, and none of the cold weakness that would be devastating in space.
Germ Lv2: Tough choice between Colonist Scan and Roomba, but I'm opting for the former because it's Essential™ for the long run. Besides, what would he enforce his will with, a knife? Do you want the colony to have to take Stabby Countermeasures?
Colony Action: Feral Caverns Exploration. We don't have the suits necessary for the Space Dock yet, Maintenance seems to be getting done in the background, and an Elevator Rescue Mission, while exciting, would be exciting for all the wrong reasons should it fall. We'll need to get everything else about the elevator functional and hooked up to it before we even think about dislodging the cab. Besides, having Scamp lead an expedition would help him reacquaint himself with his fellow survivors while showing off what he's discovered. He may want to look up the Geneva Conventions on improvised weaponry, though. I'm fairly certain a bolt-action rifle made from scrap metal qualifies as improvised weaponry and is thus a war crime. (But seriously, that particular convention just seems like a no-fun rule that prevents soldiers from using what they have at their disposal should things get dodgy.)

Pyotr: I’m going to choose Quetz. I think Pyotr will like being a flying noodle lizard. And I think he’ll like being in a supportive role, it would make for a great change of pace after a literal lifetime of service. Even if there’re only as strong as Art’s noodle arms, they have great magical potential with aptitude for wind and water spells, telekinesis for probably holding a lot of items and having great dexterity, and finally the transportation spells for, transporting things around. Even without the water breathing and melting or goo flexibly and resistance, it still has hovering for getting into high places that no other colonist has right now and magic that can help us continue to rebuild and improve the colony.
Germ: Roomba, germ should at least see around the base that we are rebuilding like he’s one of the colonists. It might give him character development or inspiration for art. I’m sure we can postpone colonist scan for a bit longer.
Colony Action: Maybe wait a little while for both Scamp and Pyotr to decompress before going on a feral caverns exploration just like that. Maintenance seems like the best course of action just to make sure the base will be nice and won’t fall apart when we leave for an exploration.

Pyotr: Tove. The other forms are lacking in solidity and/or dexterity, and we want those qualities if we want to get anything done.
Germ: Colonist Scan. Practical both in the short term and in the long term.
Action: Maintenance. We've got a lot of potential problems around here; we should fix them before they become kinetic problems.

Pyotr Race: Quetz. Both for the very good reasons that bluebat mentions and also because quetz look really cute. I am very strongly against Goopster. The poor magic seems like a dealbreaker, especially when we're such a long way from being able to transition to using more technological solutions.
Germ: Colonist scan. Just way to useful to not pick, and while the other options are nice, they just aren't as immediately useful. Knowledge is power after all
Colony action: Maitenence. Lets get things functional and working before we start exploring too much.

Pyotr Race: Slime. If Pyotr's lazy about physical labor, maybe not having muscle tissue will help with that. The lack of magecraft isn't an issue, only Art of our current colonists is actively using her magic, and the pros of the body outweigh the cons.
Germ Level 2: Good Art or Colonist Scan, both have merit. Roomba is unnecessary, I like Germ as the sarcastic AI that lives in the base's mainframe.
Colony Action: Space Dock. Mostly I'm just being contrary, but I do want to crack open this potential goodie bag so we can see what we're still in need of after.

Not sure if you're still taking suggestions for this, buuuuut:
Pyotr: Goopster
The shapechanging aspect seems useful for a handyman that might want to squeeze into tight spaces. Hopefully the goo isn't electrically conductive.
Germ: Good Art, if it keeps 'em happy and self-realised.
Priorities: I like the sound of further Feral Cavern exploration. Might uncover things faster given Scamp's familiarity with it, but also I'm honestly just curious to see the others getting subjected to its effects from a narrative point of view.
