A stalwart and empathetic provider--Jakub Cooper is a cooperative rock of support whose energy and practicality mark him as a reliable ally and friend.


Jakub Piotr "JP" Cooper was born in Madison, Wisconsin, to a Polish expatriate mother and an American father employed by the U.S. Department of Defense. The eldest of two children, Jakub and his family resided in Madison where his mother taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin. The Cooper family soon relocated to Ames, Iowa, when Jakub was six. His mother was hired to teach full time in the Department of Political Science at Iowa State University. It was here that they planted firm roots. It wasn’t until their arrival in Ames, however, that Jakub’s story truly began in earnest.

It was here that Jakub's interest in the paranormal took hold and grew over time. Stemming from documentation he procured from his father, Jakub was eager to learn more about the hidden truths which girded and buttressed our natural world. Of course, the young kit only glimpsed what lay hidden behind the curtain, this fortuitous experience spurred his natural curiosity. In the neighborhood of Stony Brook, the young man acquired a circle of close friends who supported one another through high school and later college. One of these young friends, a silver fox named Isaak, also shared his interest in the supernatural realm, and soon the two boys sought to gather as much information as they could concerning these subjects. Ultimately, their initial fascination with the inexplicable and the unexplained was the integral catalyst which set them and their friends on an inexorable trajectory which would shape their lives in unexpected ways.

Although the badger played varsity football as a linebacker, J.P. kept a wide net of acquaintances throughout high school. However, he never lost sight of those close friends from childhood. Inadvertently, he followed them to Iowa State University once high school came to its inevitable end. However, the summer preceding freshman year culminated in a singular event which forever altered the course of his life. Tyson Bishop, a member of that same Stony Brook circle, became ensnared in a tangle supernatural intrigue which inevitably enmeshed everyone else as well. In order to protect and insulate them from those in power who’d rightfully view their knowledge as threatening to the status quo, they were granted special privileges by an emissary: a professional hunter of monsters. Along with the rest of his closest friends, Jakub was inducted into the very same realm which captivated him as a child. He, Isaak and the rest now act as amateur paranormal researchers for Native Altars, a defense and advanced technologies firm with ties to the federal government.

I want to thank that always-wonderful  fcsimba for all their hard work and effort! If not for them, this character sheet would not exist, and they're deserving of the credit for what you see here. Jakub's older sheet was one of the first sheets I'd commissioned, and, while I still like it, it doesn't quite fit well with the vast majority which came months and years later. While Jakub's older sheet is still good, I feel like his newer one much better represents him as a character. With this new sheet, I'm happy to share Jakub Cooper with you again!
