Once the presentations ended, Legosi put himself a bit aside as two other interns entered.
One was a red deer, tall but thin and lithe, carrying himself with a refined posture.
The other was a tiger, a bit smaller but clearly bulkier, with a more casual posture.
Once again, Buster introduced the troupe.
"A pleasure," said the deer. "I'm Louis Horns."
"Wait, Horns?" repeated Rosita. "As in, the Horns Conglomerate?"
Everyone present knew of the Horns Conglomerate, one of the biggest and most powerful companies in the world.
"My father's the CEO, why?" hissed Louis, suddenly getting on the defensive.
"No, it's just that my husband works for its Calatonia office. I thought it was a funny coincidence.
The deer visibly relaxed.
"Sorry for the overreaction," he said with an awkward smile. "It's just that I had loads of people trying to use me to get close to the company or the wealth."
"I understand, don't worry," smiled Rosita.
"As for me, name's William Watterson," segued the tiger. "Call me Bill."
"Wait, Bill Watterson, the author of Calvin and Hobbes?" exclaimed Gunter.
"Har har har, never heard that one," deadpanned an extremely unamused Bill.
Gunter's comically profuse apologies cheered him up.
