Viz is a wandering engineer and mechanical specialist. He travels between settlements, helping in the endeavors of the local artificers and craftsmen to earn a living, and gathers and shares gossips about the kinds of mechanical wonders the people might have created.
Viz's home settlement got attacked by a Colossus, leaving his face disfigured and forcing the survivors to relocate to a much more isolated location. Viz didn't take well to the new location, so took to traveling the world instead, while also earning a better income for his wife and daughter back home.
Carrying the Blessing of Voice, Viz is able to create any kind of audio he can think of and cast it from anywhere in his vicinity, be it voices of people or any kind of sound effect. Creating noise loud enough to cause harm is likely possible, but the mild-mannered Viz is vehemently against trying this out. With the subtle nature of his Blessing Viz doesn't want to draw attention to it, he usually keeps his powers a secret and treats everyone equally whether they're Blessed or not, and would likewise prefer to be seen as a regular person and not a superpowered monster.

Heh, a lot of stuff can change in a year, and one of the characters from my worldbuilding project has definitely developed quite a bit further from when I first drew him. Viz now has more defined background, role and a purpose in the world and I wanted to change his design to reflect this, the suit-like design gets reserved for other characters. This redesign also gave me a good chance to give him some colours, as well as try and experiment with a style more reminiscent of the world's roughness. This was fun and I will definitely be creating more portraits for the other characters in my world, stay tuned for more~
