Blasze the Cinderace - a weird awakening
So my Cinder-girl, Blaze, made a new friend, and I'm sure they're gonna be a lot more than well aquainted.
This isn't an alternate timeline, by the way. This is something that happens to Blaze in the near future.
Made in Gachalife, but I do plan to actually draw these two some day. In the meantime, I did take the liberty of editing the sprites to try and make them a little more Cinderace-ey.
...
Blaze woke up in a weird room without the faintest idea of how she got there. What wasn't helping things any was a certain tan-colored brother wrapping his arms around her head in a hug the instant she saw she was awake.
"She's up!" Sparky said to seemingly no one with the happiest and most relieved expression in his voice. "I never had any doubt!"
"Sparks?" Blaze asked, gently shoving Sparky off of her, "what's going on? Why am I-- hang on..." Blaze looked around her left hand side, suddenly recognizing the room she was in. "We're in G.A.S. Lab's rehabilitation wing," she said, "what am I doing here?"
"... You got in a pretty bad accident." Sparky said, smile eroding from his face. At the utterance of those words, Blaze's memory was jogged enough to recall what happened. They were in Area Zero, and an Ancient Pokemon- Great Tusk she thinks it's called- caused a cave in. there was an incredible pain in her right side, but everything after was still a blur.
she checked her right arm and looked under the covers to see she had both legs. as she inspected herself though, she turned her head too far to the right and bumped into something that was just right in her face. "oof~!" said someone to Blaze's right. as Blaze adjusted her head to get a better view, Sparky immediately chimed in, saying "now don't freak out, Bee! We didn't have a whole lot of options..."
Blaze found herself face-to-face with a Cinderace she didn't know. a spitting image of herself, aside from the sadder eyes and nervous expression. "um, hello." the mystery bun said, noticably struggling to keep eye contact, "Mr. Sparky told me a lot about you. you two seem very close..."
Blaze was at a loss for words. she felt control of her limbs slip from her as the Cinderace beside her used the to readjust herself- themselves- in bed. "I would have spoke up sooner," the Cinderace said, "but I figured that'd be too much for ya. apart from the whole 'permanent' thing..."
"Permanent?!" Blaze stammered. her attention shot back to Sparky and she lifted herself out of bed and shouted, "Sparks, what the hell?!"
"I had to make the call because you wouldn't wake up!" Sparky shouted back, slightly saddened, "It was to save both your lives!" Blaze fell silent immediately, she slowly looked over to the now frightened stranger she was joined to and without breaking eye contact with her, asked Sparky, "h-how bad was it?"
Sparky took a deep breath and said "With you, your entire right side was destroyed. we had you in a life support chamber for a while, we didn't know what to do. that's when Kai--"
"Kai Mele?!" Blaze asked in a angry, hurt tone, directing her gaze back to Sparky, "You went and turned me into another of that sick freak's pet projects?! how--"
"It wasn't like that, let me finish!" Sparky snapped, immediately clapping his paws over his mouth. he couldn't believe he just did that. it had to be done, she probably wouldn't listen to him further otherwise, but...
after a moment, Sparky sat down beside the two-in-one Cinderaces and gently told Blaze, "He suggested I use G.A.S. Labs to join you with her." nodding towards the mystery Cindy, he continued, "she was born with a weak heart and lung, and she had a condition where her body rejected prosthesis. neither of you would have lasted long without the procedure."
"they said the fusion would make us compatable," Blaze's bodymate spoke up, finally, "i-I didn't understand it totally, it was all nanomachines this, and molecular rewiring that..." she rested her paw right in the middle of their shared chest and continued, "but the gist is that we can live a long, healthy life together, without me having any more, uh, complications."
Sparky took Blaze's paw in his, and said, "Honestly, if things were any different, I would be the one in her place... but as it stands, I believe she needs you more than I do." he reached behind Blaze's head and brought her in for a sibling forehead touch. "I'm so sorry I went over your head on this. I thought you'd be okay with it if you knew the whole story."
after a moment, Sparky heard something out of his sister that at first sounded like crying. he prepared for the worst, only for the 'crying' to get louder, sounding more like snickering than sobbing. finally Blaze pulled her head away from Sparky's and with a cocky smile, chuckled and said, "You silly bun~!"
once she was sure she got a smile back from her brother, Blaze turned her attention back to her new bodymate, this time a lot more open and friendlier than before. Blaze buried her face in her mystery-bun's cheek fluff and giggled, "Sorry if I spooked you!" mystery-bun's face warmed into a smile of her own and she replied, "nah, I get it. this was certainly a lot to take in for me as well!" Sparky just sat back down in silence, relieved that the two were getting along so well now.
Blaze pulled away from the Cinderace's face and said in a much chipper tone, "Well! I suppose since we're gonna be seeing a lot of each other for the foreseeable future, we may as well get introductions out of the way!"
Blaze winked and gestured a paw in the closest thing their shared species had to a "point thumb at self" gesture and continued, "Sparky's probably already told you, but my name's Blaze!"
"Oh, yeah. that's my name too!" the Cinderace replied, giggling, "although my name's spelled with an S instead of a Z."
Blaze looked at Blase stunned for just a bit, but she shook her head and replied smiling, "ah, it's cool; We can both be Blasze!"
(Pronounced the same as 'Blaze')
"I mean, I suppose we may as well be, considering...!" Blaze finished, as both she and Blase shared a laugh.

This has actually been an idea I've been playing around with in my head ever since I made Sparky and Blaze Alter. So rest assured, this isn't some spur-of-the-moment retcon or anything, this was actually part of the game plan.
Also, I always imagined the Blaszes having a sort of "big sister, little sister" kind of vibe. Blase is basically only a few months younger than the twins. Which doesn't sound like much, but the twins are only like a couple years old.
As for Blaze's usual biweekly shenanigans with Sparky, people who were permanently joined by G.A.S.'s services can still use their services to join with a third person- I think Blaze even gets a discount for it now! So the next time I portray the twins temporarily joined, expect a third wheel in that joining!
...
... Okay, it's bothering me; where did Kai Mele get a Cinderace with failing organs?!

Ha! It's funny because he doesn't make anyone sign anything- he regularly hypnotizes people!
Ah, whatever it is, it's no doubt something tragic. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Changing the subject...
for anyone who hasn't caught on, "Blasze" isn't a typo. S and Z together is a digraph. Two letters that can go together to make one sound.

Well since you mention it! lol
... Seriously though, who would be the middle head? Maybe the Blaszes wanna keep close together, considering that they're gonna be an item later (Why else do you think I waited till June to do this?)
Or would Sparky take middle place? Since Sparky joining wouldn't be a permanent thing, maybe the three of them would take turns being middle...

For me it would just be for the symmetry in having Sparky be the middle head xP
But I guess Believably only Blaze and Sparky would be the ones to swap places on occasions since I picture Blase maybe having a fear of becoming the left side thinking it might go wrong for them in some way.
Now all we need is an alt universe where Sparky and Blaze got cloned AND permajoined with THEMSELVES! To complete the fire buns R always multiheaded club. x3

OH or as another alt universe when Sparky was being split into Blaze... the process gets interrupted somehow and rather than creating Blaze it splits Sparky's head into two of him! Each one being two separate extremes of Sparky's personality. So one Sparky can be the tough battle hardened champion and the other could be like the much nicer and friendlier version of Sparky.
Oh this actually reminds me of the one episode of Jackie Chan adventures where he was about to be split between his Ying and Yang selves but it goes wrong and they are both stuck conjoined with each other.
The more I think about it like that the more I can see a conjoined Evil Sparky with the ultra Nice good Sparky. x3

Though rather than evil side and good side, it'd be more like one side embodies his existential melancholy of being bred for battle with no family to speak of, and the other embodying the cheerful, friendly face he puts on to hide his turmoil.
I figure the cheerful one would appear to be the more dominant of the two, since his moody side wouldn't be talking all that much.
Also maybe having two heads wouldn't improve his mood as much as Blaze did, since neither Sparky would really be able to see the other as a brother. just as an aspect of himself which both would know isn't their normal.
That's because the whole reason Blaze being in his life confused Sparky at first was because Sparky's mind was ripple-proof, and thus his memories weren't altered to fit the new reality.
It could be said that the main reason he accepted Blaze in the first place was because he really was so lonely that he'd happily accept having his destiny altered so drastically. Though he will argue with me that the ends didn't really justify the means.

That makes sense... but even so I do still like the idea of the two Sparky's working through their issues together and "Becoming whole" sort to speak.
Like fully knowing they are the two aspects that make "Sparky" who he is actually pushes them to be better.
Like Sad Sparky actually finding it in his heart to see Cheerful Sparky as the brother he never had, And Cheerful Sparky letting himself be more vulnerable with others and dropping his defenses with those who care for them. In this case more obviously being Sad Sparky who offers comforting head nuzzles to his other half.
I admit I am a sucker for those conjoined self comforts the two heads can provide for one another~ <3
And having it be two Sparky's makes it more interesting to me at the very least.
Not that I don't like Blaze mind you, she is great too in her own way. <3

I get it; alternate timelines. I made one where my Glaceon never existed and one of his soulmates took his place. That's where his new adopted sister came from!
Speaking of Blaze, in the same situation, I figure she'd be divided into her usual cheerful, bubbly manic pixie self.
and a side that's extremely clingy to Sparky and doesn't wanna leave his side, and flies into a bit of a panic when he isn't around. Basically a manifestation of her instinct a fragment of a being, desperate to rejoin with the whole.
Cheerful Blaze would probably try her best to cheer True Nature Blaze up, but for the most part it wouldn't quite be enough.

Fair.
Funny how we went all this way without mentioning Blase. Because as it is, I honestly cannot fathom a situation where she and Blaze aren't together.
I get it though; I only just committed her existence to the internet now, so she's still for all intents and purposes some rando I stuck on an actual established character's shoulder.
But again; I have been playing with this scenario for a while now, and only now got around to doing anything with it.
Blase does have a story here, I just need to get around writing it.
