The idea of the art with my birdsona surrounded by African landscape has been hanging for a long time. The background for the art is my photo from my personal archive.
So, why the Kalahari scrub-robin?
🍂 I was born in Namibia and lived there for half of my life. I'm a real Namibian citizen. During my life in Africa, I managed to live in the desert and savannah. And I liked both! But the desert is still my greatest love. The selected bird species flies in both zones
🍂 Even after psychotherapy, I'm still "small" and vulnerable deep down. I like to be small, to recognize myself as such. I am also active in life: cycling around the city for long distances, going hiking or birdwatching, and recently I overcame an expedition for two days with a huge backpack and tent! And I've never liked the idea of the "soul of a predator", although I eat meat with great pleasure. The Kalahari scrub-robin is also small, nimble and isn't a predator
🍂 As the nightingale and scrub-robin, both are from the Muscicapidae family. They're songbirds (interpret them as "creative"), and many actively sing by sunset and night. I also have such a property, I cannot engage in creative activity during the day, for me the creative time comes only late in the evening. During the day I just immerse myself in mundane stuff
🍂 "The colors of my soul" have always been warm, like a hot desert. I like red-copper, the color of Kalahari sand, and I strongly associate myself with it. I've been dyeing my hair this color already 2 years. Where did the coffee colour come from? I worked as a professional barista for six months and now coffee is an integral part of my life. At home I have a whole "mini coffeeshop" in which I spent a lot of money. Many friends call me a coffee bird. The selected bird has the following colors
🍂 By nature, I've always been modest, closed, introverted, and prefer solitude. At school and university, I was the "gray mouse" on the last desk. But deep down I want to show myself, declare myself, create, attract people's attention, their sympathy and make friends. The Kalahari scrub-robin is just perfect: the color of most body is nondescript, gray-brown, typical of small passerine birds, but the tail…!!! The tail is straight beautiful in this bird ovo
